Summary: Any Child Has Fun!
Review: This book transformed the way I looked at education...not just for children with special needs, but ANY child. This book is bursting at the seams with practical, detailed descriptions of activities that parents, teachers, occupational therapists can participate in with children to promote their sensory integration and academic success. I really appreciated the instructions giving ways to create or purchase equipment and also different variations on one activity to fit the needs of the child(ren) you are working with. This is a beautiful companion to "The Out-of-Sync Child" and I would highly recommend both of these books to anyone who cares about or works with children.

Summary: READ this for any child delays - physical, motor, speech
Review: This is a fantastic resource that I reference again and again for great play ideas that actually help my son develop his brain in the areas of motor planning, fine motor, bilateral, etc. This book is FULL of great play ideas, like bean bag mania for bilateral integration and a simple length of cottom tubing as a proprioceptive giving tunnel. The obstacle course section alone is worth the price of the book; examples include, use flour to mark an outside obstacle course, like a line of flour on the grass for a somersault section... Get this book now, it is the number one idea resource for parents whose children are in OT (Occupational Therapy).

Summary: A must have!!
Review: This is one of the most used books in my teacher library!! This book is a great companion to The Out Of Sync Child, However, The Out of Sync Child has Fun takes a hands on approach instead of a more information driven format. This book is loaded with a lot of excellent activities to meet a childs every sensory need. I would recommend this book not only to educators and OT's but to every new parent. I believe that there is great value in these activities and a child emmersed in this type of activity from infancy will be well developed and have a head start. I highly recommend this book as well as The Out of Sync Child also by Kranowitz.
