Summary: Hysterical anecdotes and the "real" info a dad-to-be needs
Review: My Boys Can Swim is a fantastic book. I finished it the day after it arrived in the mail. The book is loaded with hysterically funny anecdotes that made me laugh out loud. Ian Davis is witty and perceptive. He clearly is a talented writer and storyteller. And the book is more than just funny. It also contains the ideal amount of practical and "real" information that I found far more interesting and useful than the medical mumbo-jumbo and psycho-babble of other pregnancy books. With a five-month old at home, my question to Mr. Davis is, "When are you publishing a book on how a dad is supposed to survive year one?"

Summary: Outrageosly funny - a first time Dad must!
Review: I bought this book for my husband and didn't know what to expect. We read it together in bed in one sitting and died laughing. For the first time, my pregnancy became fun, and of interest to him. These hilarious tales actually are packed with useful information and insights. The illustrations are great. Makes a perfect shower gift for the pregnant guy.

Summary: Davis packs some serious laughs
Review: This is a hillarious book. If you are looking for a touchy-feely-Mr.-Roger's-neighborhood kind of pregnancy book, don't buy My Boys Can Swim. However, if you want to laugh, this witty, at times irreverent, look at pregnancy will definitely keep you entertained.

Summary: Funny, But Too Short
Review: I ordered this book for my husband after seeing a story on the author on CBS Sunday Morning. I thought it would be an effective way for my husband to learn about the changes that my pregnant body was going through.

My husband read the book in about 20 minutes from start to finish. He chuckled several times & seemed genuinely interested in the book. However, he said that the book left a little to be desired. He expected more text & many of the questions he had were left unaddressed.

This is a good book for a laugh or two. But, it is way too brief (more like a long pamphlet than a book) to be a comprehensive resource for expectant fathers.

Summary: Hysterical Read for Moms and Dads...
Review: I bought this book for my husband, who is deployed to Iraq and isn't here to experience the pregnancy with me. I read it first and had tears rolling down my face from the first page to the last. I hadn't laughed that hard in ages. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone who needs a good laugh. It won't disappoint.

Summary: Not bad!! Funny!
Review: I bought this book for my husband for Christmas, and it is really cute!! Bear in mind that it does not give a lot of detailed information, but it is written in an entertaining manner that makes it fun to read. If you want real pregnancy information, then read the "real" pregnancy books that are out there. But this one is cute for a dad-to-be!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great little read for future mommies and daddies
Review: Both my boyfriend and I loved this book. It is very entertaining and showed him that everything that has been happening to us is normal. It wasn't overly educational, but who buys a book with this title to be informed? I would recommend it for any dad-to-be with a sense of humor.

Summary: Hilarious!!!
Review: This book is excellent for those macho type guys who are not really into reading in the first place. Not only is it a funny and easy read, it really does give good information about what to expect when your wife is pregnant. In fact my husband, while reading this book, told me some things I didn't even know yet!

Summary: The New Guru of Pregnancy!!
Review: A witty, honest look at pregnancy through the eyes of a husband. The author captures the true essence of pregnancy in a comical, down-to-earth manner. Male or female, pregnant or not, I recommend this book to anyone who wants a good laugh...and to anyone whoever thought they had any idea about what it means to be pregnant, you have no idea! Ian Davis really is the new guru of pregnancy!

Summary: MUST HAVE FOR EXPECTANT FATHER!
Review: When my husband and I got the happy news I immediately went online and started searching for the best pregnancy books for us. I easily found the right books for me, but I wanted something for my husband that addressed his needs, concerns, fears, etc. The name of this book caught my eye and I decided to give it a shot. Not only did he read it willingly, but he laughed and enjoyed it too. Now you can hear him bragging about his "swimmers" to his friends. I also read this book and almost wet myself (beware pregnant women, this book WILL make you pee in your pants). We've spent a lot of money on this pregnancy and I can honestly say that buying this book is one of the top 5 investments that we've made. BUY THIS BOOK TODAY!
