Review: To all the fathers, mothers and random people I payed to buy my book (just kidding), my sincere thanks for making "My Boys Can Swim" a Washington Post bestseller - a first for a pregnancy book! And keep sending the great pregnancy stories. They're hilarious, and hopefully will make it into future editions.

Summary: THE gift for first-time dads!
Review: I don't have kids myself, so was wondering what to give to 2 good friends who'd just learned their respective wives were pregnant. They both seemed petrified and giddy -- so when I found "My Boys" I immediately sent off copies. They LOVED it -- said they were laughing so hard they didn't realize they'd actually learned what the mom-oriented books were saying but in 1,000 pages less. The raves from my soon-to-be-dad friends led me to read through it -- and I had to agree. Davis clearly had a good time writing this AND becoming a father. It's not for the humor-impaired -- Davis is frank, but hysterically on target, from what I know of my pregnant friends' experiences.

Summary: Head Turning Funny
Review: I read this book during my train ride home from work when my wife was about 7 months pregnant. It's an unwritten rule In D.C. that commuters should keep silent and not make direct eye contact with other passengers, but each page made me laugh so hard that I'm sure everyone on the train wished I'd taken my car that night. After being forced to read every "What I'm Going Through During My Pregnancy" book, I was glad to finally read something from a potential father's point of view. This book should be handed out to men during all Lamaze classes.

Review: THIS BOOK IS FUNNY AND INFORMATIVE. THE AUTHOR GETS ALOT OF INFORMATION IN A SMALL BOOK AND IMPARTS THIS WITH A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR. IT IS VERY EASY READING AND THE ART WORK IS CLEVER.I BOUGHT IT AS A GIFT FOR A PROSPECTIVE DAD. I BOUGHT THREE BOOKS, AND I HAVE ALREADY SENT TWO BOOKS AS GIFTS. THEY WERE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED BY THE PROSPECTIVE DADS, AS WELL AS THE PROSPECTIVE MOMS.

Review: Funny, self-effacing - Davis has "it". If you like Dave Barry - you'll love Davis' spin on pregnancy. I bought five books and gave them out in Lamaze class.

Review: "My boys can swim" is a real guy's guy approach to pregnancy. It's an easy read that's informative and hilarious. It's about time someone wrote a pregnancy book for men. Once you start reading you won't be able to stop. Great cartoons too! This is a must buy for everyone who is expecting.

Review: A hillarious look at the world of pregnancy through "his" eyes. Both my husband and I loved the book. The anecdotes are really funny and honestly, sound just so familiar.

Summary: An Hilarious Guide to Pregnancy!!!!
Review: Mr. Davis has put together an easy to read guide to how men deal and should deal with pregnancy . He has been able to put into perspective the highs and lows of the whole experience in a light hearted joking manner. I am far from being in the shoes of other men in this situation, but I thought the book fantastic and will recommend it to both my married and single friends. It is nice to see a humerous book around a topic where very few exist.

Review: We bought 3 books on pregnancy, and this was the only one that made us laugh out loud. We loved it! The illustrations were over the edge, which added to the humor. If looking for the perfect expectant father book, this it it! Quick read, Easy read, just plain funny.

Review: This book brings a new view of pregancy from "start" to finish. It is ironic that so many of the anecdotes are so factual and, at the same time, so damn funny! Overall, a great book to read.
