Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A little too light Review: I enjoyed My Boys can Swim, but it's a little bit pamphlet-esque. I got more laughs from Breathe! A Guy's Guide to Pregnancy. For my serious advice I just looked at my wife's books.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Guy's View of Pregnancy Review: I bought this book for my husband when I was pregnant with my son. I also decided to read the book (it's only about 70 pages) and found it to be humorous. My husband even read it too.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Not a lot of advice, but a few laughs Review: I have to say I was pretty disappointed in this book. While it had a few chuckles in it, the book didn't really give much in the way of quality advice or what to expect when your wife is expecting. I was more impressed with the books by Armin Brott.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A decent supplement Review: Men definitely need at least one pregnancy book that's not a full-fledged textbook, and this is a nice one. I preferred this to What to Expect When Your Wife's Expanding, but I liked Breathe! A Guy's Guide to Pregnancy best of all. But most men will need one of the three. For real medical advice, use your wife's books.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great Book Review: I bought this book for my Husband when we found out we were pregnant. He laughed throughout the book and found solace that he is not the only one living with a psycho pg woman. He also said it helped him understand what to expect. Mostly, he enjoyed the levity of this rather than the seriousness of all the other books...
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: uhhhhhhh.... Review: It takes about a half hour to read this book, and much of it is spent wondering where your money went. Really, the only thing you can come away with on this book is that you could have written a longer one and you could have been funnier.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Not as funny as Breathe! Review: I enjoyed this book, and I found it funny, but too often it was actually informative. For pure joke content, I liked Breathe! A Guy's Guide to Pregnancy better. I also felt I was getting a longer read with Breathe, which given the time I like to spend in the bathroom, was important to me. My Boys Can Swim seemed a little on the short side. Nonetheless, I liked this book, and the people who find it offensive should immediately rush to the doctor and have the stick removed from their...
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: An ideal gift for the pregnant dad Review: As a practicing OB, I'm often struck at just how disengaged men can be when their wives are pregnant. I've always encouraged my patients to have their husbands join them on visits, and after over 10 years in practice, I've had mixed results. But my track record has improved significantly since this very funny book appeared in my office several months ago. What I like about the author's approach is how he conveys useful information through humorous anecdotes, which allows men to digest the normally mundane and boring aspects of pregnancy in a manner that is fun and interesting. At first I was reluctant to recommend a humor book, since pregnancy is serious business. But the reaction of my patients has been nearly universally positive - they love this book. It is honest yet irreverant, and not contrived or corny like so many other books for Dads. I've bought several copies for patients myself, and on this latest trip to Amazon.com, I thought it would be worth passing on the good word to others out there seeking something for men to read (and enjoy) so they can become a more involved partner during their wives pregnancy.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: How about trite & inane? Review: This book is trite, inane, not helpful and not funny. Ian Davis should keep his day job as a shill for corporate America. The so-called "advice" in this book is just what the Stupid White Men in America want you to believe. And he thinks he's being respectful to his wife? Please.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Perfect [Bathroom] Book Review: I read this book during three trips to the bathroom. I laughed my head off and everything that Ian Davis writes is absolutely true. It is the first book for expectant dad's that actually tells you the honest truth. Ian Davis is hysterical and I can't wait for his next book!! Buy this for sure I highly recommend it!.
