Summary: Only for the extremely enthusiastic mamas-to-be
Review: sounds odd, I know.

I am very happy to be pregnant, and certainly enjoying it. This book is not for me, however. This is not a book that you can turn to for answers to specific questions or fears. Instead, it is intended to be a day-by-day for the happy pregnant gal. This is a great concept, but I got bored with keeping up with the days a few months ago. If you are the type who consistantly keeps a journal or a daily horoscope reader - go for it. If not, forget it.

Summary: LOVE IT
Review: I love this book, being able to go and look at what's happening with my baby on a specific day or finding out what's going on in a particular week. Also what to expect, and how easy the book is to follow. I would highly recommend this book to friends, would even buy this for a friend.

Summary: Good info, confusing dates
Review: This is a book full of great info, but it has one major problem. It counts the weeks of your pregnancy from conception. You dr. counts the weeks of pregnancy from your last menstrual period. So when your dr. says you've reached the 12 week mark and are done with the first trimester, this book says your only in week ten. I found this to be irritating. I want to count my weeks of pregnancy the way my dr. does. Other than that, the book is full of useful, detailed info.

Summary: I love this book!
Review: I just received this yesterday and already I love it! As soon as I opened it, I immediately went in to chart my estimated delivery due date and went charted the dates all the back to my conception date. Now each day I can see the progress of my baby's development. I am a first time mommy-to-be and I am fascinated by all the devlopment that has occurred to my baby in just the first 5 weeks. The journal also has lots of tips for moms-to-be and parenting tips. In the back there is space to record the delivery and other postpartum items. I would definitely recommend this book!

Summary: A journal for those who don't have time to journal, and more
Review: I couldn't have survived my pregnancy without this journal! I had purchased the journal for a friend a few years before I got pregnant, and she reciprocated with the journal as a gift for me. I plan to do the same for my next pregnant friend. The journal kept me on track with a small item to read each day including info on the baby's development, and tips for me, even tips about raising baby towards the last few months of the journal. I wish that there were lines for journaling everyday, but I just wrote in the margins when there wasn't space provided. The quotes on each page were an added pick me up on those days when I needed a little encouragement. I highly recommend this journal!

Summary: A great source for information and a wonderful keepsake!
Review: I received this from my husband as a gift and love it! It's great to pull out every day and read what is happening with your baby that day. There are many spots to write in how you are feeling, cravings, your weight, and other bits of information that you will love to look at years down the road. The advice and suggestions interspersed are really helpful, too. I would recommend getting this as soon as you know you are pregnant. What better way to capture the memories so you can share them with your child later on?

Summary: Makes pregnancy exciting every day!
Review: I have this journal (I'm 6 months pregnant) and love it! It tells you baby's development daily which adds excitement (and education) to your pregnancy. I look forward to reading that day's "growth" before I go to sleep each night (I sometimes cheat and read ahead!). It has space to write, but not so much space that you end up feeling guilty for not writing in it!
Each day includes baby's growth, health tips for mom, and parenting tips.

I love it and plan to give it as a gift to my next pregnant friend. A great buy for the money!

Summary: A great book & excellent gift!
Review: I received this book as a gift and it was by far one of the best pregnancy gifts I received. It allowed my husband and I to participate together. Each night before we went to bed we'd read the book together and write in little notes. There isn't a lot of space to write, but that was ok since I didn't have many brain cells left to elaborate.

If we are blessed with #2, I am going to buy another book and the whole family will read it each night.

Summary: Great book, bad journal
Review: I loved all the information in this book. During the first pregnancy I had a ton of questions, this book helped me to understand what was happening to my baby and my body. But, while there is a ton of information, the part for writing is almost non-existant. To really keep track of all the physical, emotional and spiritual changes happening, you need space...LOTS more than this book can give you. My advice, read it cover to cover, write in another book.

Summary: I own two copies of this book
Review: I've used one for each pregnancy. I guess I could have planned ahead and saved room for the second time around, but I was so excited I wrote down everything about my first pg! And now that I'm pregnant again, I wanted to be able to record all the special moments for this pregnancy, too. I think every mom-to-be should have a copy of this book.
