Rating: Summary: you must have this journal Review: There are 2 books that no pregnancy should be without this is one of them, and the other is The Pregnancy Book by Sears and Sears. This beautiful journal made me feel very close to my baby, since I could read what was happening every day, write my own thoughts and keep track of my weight and size, feelings and moods. I loved looking at it every night and reading to my husband everything that was changing in our baby. I think I read it 30 times. I will show this to my daughter someday. I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Warm, wise & wonderful book Review: This book is written so gently, yet packed with so much information, that it is perfect for anxious, excited soon-to-be parents. I adored reading every page and "sneaking" ahead to the days to come during my entire pregnancy. A highly recommended gift.
Rating: Summary: Great Gift! Review: I bought this book for all my pregnant friends. They loved it! They would tell me how they would read it every night to their husbands. They loved telling people little facts about the baby-to-be because it made for great conversations instead of "how's the baby, Fine". One of my girlfriends had a hard time not reading ahead, she couldn't wait to see what was going on the next day with her baby. I've never seen a book about pregnancy bring so much enjoyment into a pregnant woman's life.
Rating: Summary: A KEEPER Review: I loved this book! I was looing forward to new chapters every day! Very informative and interesting. It helped me answered a lot of questions about the way I felt (my daughter is 8 months now), the way my body was changing. I would recommend this book to everyone. In fact, I just bought another copy for a friend of mine. Buy it, you won't regret it!
Rating: Summary: It's Only an "OK" Book Review: I read the book, entered my due date in the back and worked my way forward(which was a pain!). It was very boring, but a good reference if you want to read a little bit everyday before bed to find out what will happen with your baby tomorrow. They do not leave enough space for you to write in the Notes sections. There are no interesting drawings to look at to make your pregnancy experience seem more real. It was 'ok', but not the best pregnancy book I have read. I suggest previewing the book BEFORE you buy it.
Rating: Summary: A great way to connect with your little one... Review: I recommend this journal to all expecting mothers. It's a wonderful way to get a day by day update on your little one. I look forward to the quiet time I spend each morning having my breakfast and reading and writing in this journal. You will enjoy looking back at your entries even after your baby is born and you'll be able to share your specific experiences with your child when he or she is old enough!
Rating: Summary: An Enjoyable Reading for pregnant women Review: This journal was what I really want to keep me company during my pregnancy. It answered all my questions, doubts and confusions. The exact questions answered by this journal was "Why am I craving for bananas when I was 10 weeks pregnant?" It said that because the baby need potasium and it's really there on my 10th week development page! I REALLY recommend this book to every pregnant women! Your doctor can't answer your phone calls everyday.. but this journal will. Thanks a lot!
Rating: Summary: Keeps you Involved Everyday Review: Out of the several books we've read during my pregnancy, this one has meant the most to us. It was especially comforting in the early weeks when nothing noticeable (except tiredness and nausea) was happening. It told me what day the heart started beating, what day the arms and legs budded and what day movement started and so on. It made me feel like I was part of the growth going on in there even before I felt or saw it. Reading what is happening to the baby that day is an exciting way to make the miracle tangible even before you're showing and especially comforting when the symptoms are getting difficult. It's a MUST HAVE for all pregnant families.
Rating: Summary: Tons of Information, With Room for Your Own Observations! Review: I LOVE THIS BOOK! When I first discovered I was pregnant I purchased the book: "What to Expect When You Are Expecting". I wish I had purchased this book first. It is so much more helpful and supportive. Like many books written about pregnancy, it breaks information down into the 9 lunar months of pregnancy. The difference is that it offers information about each day of your pregnancy. Fascinating tidbits about how your baby is growing, what is taking place in your body and important facts about nutrition and health. It also includes quotes about children that are sometimes humorous, sometimes philosophical, and always uplifting. Also included, trivia about childbirth in other cultures. On each page, there is room to write your thoughts about the baby and your pregnancy. Each month you can chart your waist size and weight. This will make a great keepsake that your son or daughter can enjoy later. They will find it fascinating to know of your mental and emotional as well as physical interactions with them from the moment of their conception or from the moment you knew you were pregnant. If you are on a tight budget and can only afford one book for your pregnancy, choose this one!
Rating: Summary: A very informative and supportive book Review: My husband and I bought the book when I was 15 days pregnant. This book has made the pregnancy real for him, provided us with solid information and great conversation topics. Every evening he asks "to see the book." This is one book to keep on the nightstand though you may not always find it on your side of the bed.
