Rating: Summary: it's great to know what my mom is going through! Review: This book is hillarious and informative! It gives a light-hearted humor to what some women dread their whole lives. I now know what my mom is going through and ways to be sensitive to other women in my life who have the "shrinking hormome syndrome". Caron Loveless is a brilliant and talented author who deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for tackling such a topic! I RECOMEND THIS BOOK TO ANY ONE WHO KNOWS A WOMAN!

Rating: Summary: Cheers from a Middle Aged Mom Review: This is only the second book that I have read in the last six months since I became a Mom. I couldn't put it down. I haven't hit menopause yet, but pregnancy hormones were similar and I feel like I have a better handle on what is to come. The stories were full of the fragilty and humor of life. The comments from other ladies at the end of each section were great. It was nice to hear from such a cross section of lives. Thank you Caron for being so transparent and vulnerable and to allow us to walk through this phase of life WITH you.

Rating: Summary: My Shrinking Hormones are Validated! Review: This weekend I received a copy of Caron Loveless' book and read it non-stop. I couldn't put it down! I laughed, I groaned, I sighed, and I winced as Caron's honesty and winsome humor hit the nail (or should I say "hormone") on the head time after time. Those in the midlife of womanhood will be encouraged and challenged to not only except the challenges of this crazy time of life, but also learn to find the sweeter deeper side of all the physical, mental, and emotional changes. Thumbs! A+! Five stars! I plan to buy copies for friends' birthdays and also form an accountability group that can enjoy the book together. I know it will be a bonding experience. Bravo Caron!!!
Rating: Summary: Leslie Aziz Reviews Caron Loveless's newest book Review: We're literally in the millions: Women experiencing mid-life metamorphis. One would think mid-life girls would be talking about it everywhere, but the truth is, it's a bit of a clandestine topic. Caron Loveless breaks the ice and warms hearts in her newest book, Honey They Shruck My Hormones. Loveless writes as if she's seated across the table from her readers, sharing a coffee and her heart. She speaks from an endearing subjective position and the reader feels like she's right there with Caron experiecing such very human rites of passage as the "baby's" high school graduation, the inaugural mammogram, and the first grand-child. Each chapter has a "chat-room" section in which Loveless brilliantly includes a diversity of mid-lifers' thoughts about the chapter's topic. Loveless also includes a list of "122 Things You Should Know By Now," a nice applause for recognzing the life-grace achieved at mid-life, and she gives readers a very funny and tender 30-day, personal journal. Honey They Shrunk My Hormones is a fast read, but not a shallow one. It's probably one of the most helpful books on the market because of it's honesty laced with humor, and Loveless's intrepid spirit going into sometimes sad, sometimes unknown waters and calling out to readers, "Come, follow me--the best is yet to come!" This book offers wonderful insight to women light-years away from mid-life, women right in the middle of The Middle, and women reflecting on their own change experiences. Read it quickly and keep it on your night-stand for years, as a quick reminder about the richness of mid-life when you can't remember if you applied your anti-aging cream or not.
