Summary: Find Out about "Find Me"
Review: Rosie writes just like she talks, so don't except to find great literary prose in her book. Expect to find a simple honest account of some important, some not-so-important, and even some disturbing, events in her life. Please don't be discouraged by the simple prose and the, at times, cliche stories. Hold on until the last chapter. It was the most honest and most touching part of the book. I still have my mother and Rosie made me want to hang on to her even more. Thank you, Rosie, for being you.

Summary: Find Me ~ Rosie O'Donnell
Review: I could not put this book down. My profession is that of a Mental Health Professional, and Rosie takes this story to depths that people in this profession love. This book holds such a "Big Surprise" for readers. The best thing about Rosie's writing is that she writes just like she speaks, which makes her writing even more interesting. I don't think Rosie researched the Psychiatric Disorder, Multiple Personality Disorder, when she wrote this book, and it didn't matter. She wrote from the heart and learned her way through this very difficult illness with her e-mail friend. As always, her compassion just shines throughout the book. No wonder we all love her so much. I think she would make a wonderful Psychologist, as her next profession. She certainly has that drive and potentional in making one. I highly recommend this book. It was nothing like I thought it was going to be like at all. Keep writing, Rosie. You are great at it also, among your many other talents.

Summary: Rosie for Real
Review: I just finished this book, and I can honestly say it has changed my life, and the way I look at it. What Rosie calls "spingles", I have always called "God Bumps". This book gave me God Bumps! I read some of the other reviews before writing mine, and I have to say I was pretty disappointed in most of them. The ones that didn't like the book and went off on Rosie about helping someone she didn't know, didn't get it! Through this experience, Rosie helped herself. She found herself. I was in tears by the end of the book. I felt like I just finished reading a book about me! I am alot like Rosie, inside and out. I lost my mother, but as an adult. I too always feel like I have to help everyone. Reading this book helped me understand why I do this. Thank you Rosie, for sharing the real you, and how you found it. This book will always remain #1 on my list!

Summary: Honest and Revealing
Review: This book shows a side of Rosie that has previously been hidden from her audience. Although the story is extreme, I think everyone has put themselves in a situation they later realized might have been unsafe. It is easy to relate to Rosie in this quick read.

Summary: A glimpse of Rosie as we've never seen her -
Review: This book offers a glimpse of Rosie as we've never seen her: vulnerable, often alone, and prey to her fears. I didn't know what to expect when I purchased "Find Me" to read on a day-long bus trip to Washington DC. I found myself unable to put the book down, once I'd started. As Rosie tells it, "fame doesn't fix everything", and I was pleasantly surprised by her ability, as a new author, to draw her reading audience into the fold of her semi-dark and true tale ...

Summary: A Great Read
Review: I read this book last night and I cried. It touched me, deeply. I, too, have a "trauma tattoo" and I am a "swamp person"....If you have a heart, you will love this book.

If you are expecting some light, fluffy "tell-all" then you would be wrong. This is written from the heart. I loved this book. I love Rosie for being brave and sharing this powerful story.

Summary: Surprising.
Review: I couldn't put FIND ME down, not because it was such an interesting biography, or the story of her adopted children, but because of the story of Stacie! I thought this was going to be the story of Rosie's life, but it really wasn't. It was a psychological profile of her thoughts, values, cares and opened my eyes to the fact that she doesn't put much stock in the entertainment industry. In other words money isn't everything...that is when you have it. I admire Rosie O'Donnell so much now and wish her rainbows and sunshine in her "retirement."

Summary: Pay no heed to the Rosie-Haters...
Review: Wow. I can't believe that people would be disappointed in this book. For those of you who read this to get glimpses of her romantic experiences, get a life. Don't buy a book with expectations of it's content. Expect quality. It's not up to you to decide what someone should write.

For those of you who want to read this book without any prerequisites, I thoroughly recommend it. This book is almost a novel; you constantly have to remind yourself that it's a true story. The main theme of the book is Rosie's urge to help others, and this plot twists and turns like a mystery novel. I finished the book right before I watched the final episode of Rosie's show, and now I can't decide if that was a good idea. I now see Rosie as the whole person she is, as opposed to the light, funny, chubby talk-show host. She is one of my favorite celebs, and it was hard to read about her pain and dark feelings. The book served it's purpose. It showed me what it's like to be Ro O'Donnell. All she wanted in writing her memoir was to be heard, and hopefully understood. Her words hit strikingly close to home for many of us in the world. It's a quick and easy read, but you feel a bit deeper and more connected to one of the most loved comdiennes of our time. Buy it!

P.S. Rosie is not too revealing by any means in her book. If you want to know about her, buy the book. If you don't want to know about her, don't buy it.

Summary: Rosie...Get Professional Help!
Review: Forget the large text, blank pages, and dreadful writing and focus on the content, and behavior of one of the most narcissistic people you will ever encounter. What you come up with is a woman who is terribly disturbed...Rosie. Rosie reaches out to a woman she barely knows, meddles in things she knows nothing about, and never considers how her actions will impact those involved. What's up with the therapist who allows this to happen? Sick people are attracted to sick people, and Rosie is definitely sick. This book is all about Rosie meeting her needs. I can't believe this woman was allowed to adopt children! A very troubling book.
