Summary: This book is like a new best friend
Review: Reading Southern Fried Divorce is like sitting on the veranda with your new pal, Judy Conner, laughing at her stories and jotting down her recipes. Like many Southerners, Judy knows how to tell a good story and mix a good drink and "that ex" was an endless source of inspiration for both! Buy some extra copies for friends, you won't want to lend yours out.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: If you love New Orleans, you will love this book!
Review: The Conner sisters have done it again. My heart yearns for a dance on the pool table at F and M's. I miss my digs on Tchopitoulas street (and if you can make anyone miss living in the Irish Channel, you are a damn god writer). I need, I mean need some Upperline for dinner. Damn it, Judy Conner, I am not supposed to want to live in the Big Sleazy ever again... wonder if my old apartment can be made available!? Seriously, the book is hillarious, and a total must read for all Yat-types and southern women in general! Bravo!

Summary: Buy two copies: you'll have a friend who needs one.
Review: This book is beautifully crafted. Apparently Judy Conner has inherited an attribute she credits to her father: not a single word is wasted. At the same time, Conner's voice comes through loud and clear.
On the surface, this is a book about an ex-husband and an ex-dog, but the reader will quickly realize that it's really about how much fun it is to know people well and to live among them.
Others have written that they could not put this book down. I had to put it down, but found I couldn't wait to pick it up again. This is a superb choice for the pool or the beach or picking up the kids at school. Just don't let those kids read over your shoulder.
