Rating: Summary: Easy to read, USEFUL! Review: I really USE this book. All the time, with both of my twins. It is chock full of suggestions, hints, games, songs, and other stuff that the babies really seem to like. I'm recommending it to all the other moms I know.
Rating: Summary: Lots of Ideas & Fun For little ones! Review: I recently bought this book to find new games to play with my 16 month old son, as an alternative to TV. It has been wonderful! Not only do we use the one year old section, sometimes I find things in the sections for younger or older children as well. I am looking forward to the arrival of my second child in October so I can try some of the activities for infants with him/her.
Rating: Summary: A Little Disappointing Review: I was disappointed to see that the chapters in this book ended with 3 year olds. I thought 4 year olds would be included in the preschool category. I certainly consider my four year old a preschooler. I also consider her a little advanced for the 3 year old activities. My 1 year old son has enjoyed many of the activities listed in the toddler sections though
Rating: Summary: Very Good Review: This book has TONS of songs, finger plays, activities. The lay out makes it easy to use because it is devided into ages. There are things for every member of the family to participate in- activities, cooking, games etc. The reason I rated if four stars rather than five was because for me, this book was TOO MUCH. I found it to be overwhelming to sort out the stuff I wanted from the stuff I didn't want. I found it difficult to really look at this book because there was just so much on each page. Everyone tells me I have an analytical mind and maybe that is my problem. I would have appreciated having a more clean layout- rather than just a jumble of ideas for each age. However, if you have no ideas for dealing with children, this is the book to have. This is a great book if you are a teacher who deals with a variety of prek ages. This book is also good for parents.
Rating: Summary: Not really worth it Review: This book is just barely okay. There are only a couple ideas that even come close to being original. Also, there isn't much explanation of any suggestion. Skip buying the book and do some brain-storming. You will come up with everything in there.

Rating: Summary: Combination of New Ideas and Others often forgotten Review: This book provides basic developmental information, fun activities for families of newborns to age three (that cost little if any money), and simple songs we've heard but probably have forgotten. It's a valuable resource for anyone who works with families of small children or any parent of a baby or toddler.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Wonderplay Review: This is a wonderful book. I received it as a gift from an expectant mothers' group I belonged to, from a friend who had received it from someone else. It's easy to read in small sections, which is about all I can manage to do with taking care of the baby. The authors really understand about babies and what they like to do and to play with. I can't wait to give it to someone else so I can share what a treasure this book is.
Rating: Summary: Really not that useful Review: We found this book more annoying than helpful. It includes the words for many songs, but not the music, so if you don't know the tune, you can't sing the songs. The recommendations for infants didn't include anything we hadn't thought of before. We much preferred Baby Days.
