Summary: Best Investment I ever made
Review: I am so happy I came across this book. I have said it before and I will say it again, it is the best investment I ever made. I have had it for about a year and I look at it almost every day. The section that has all the fruit and veggies in it is wonderful, it tells you how to buy them, when they are in season, how to store them, what they should look like when you buy them, how long to keep them, how to cook them, and most important to me is how old your child needs to be in order to have them, it even tells you the nutritional content. Every time I open up my book I come across something else new and neat. I really can't say enough great things about this book, I love it and think that it would be a perfect gift for anyone who is going to have a baby or already has toddlers. My son is 18 months old and he is the best fruit and veggy eater I have ever known, he even loves brussel sprouts!! I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone!!

Summary: A complete resource to feeding your baby healthy food.
Review: Super Baby Food has given me, a first time mother, a complete guide to feeding my baby a wholesome, healthy diet. It also is going to help us save a lot of money, which is important because I am a stay at home mom. I cannot believe that people would choose to pay 45-50 cents for a dinky jar of baby food that most likely has sugar, water, and fillers in equal amounts of the real food, when it is so easy to give them 100% of the real thing for 1/4 of the price! Ruth gives detailed information on every step of the process, and more information on nutrition than you ever want to know. She also gives hundreds of great recipes to use into toddlerhood. She even includes sections on how to make your own toys and cleaning products. It is an unbelieveable feeling to make food from scratch and have your baby love it. It is a true act of love. Thanks Ruth!

Summary: Great "How-to" and reference book
Review: I am a stay-at-home mother of twin boys, and I am very thankful I ordered this book. It gives information about what and when to feed your baby, how to prepare food and organize your time, and tips on how to save money. (My husband and I love the homemade baby wipes better than any brand we've tried!) This easy-read (even humorous) book tells you how to feed your baby a balanced diet, and it explains how to prepare the food in simple terms. There IS a lot of information in the book, but it is wonderful to have all that information in one place when you need it. As with any book, you have to take the information and apply it to your own lifestyle - if you are a working parent or a stay-at-home parent, this book gives you ideas and methods you can use. I'm not a vegetarian or a "health nut" but Super Baby Food has helped me know how to prepare healthier foods for my family.

Summary: All you need to know about nutrition for your baby.
Review: Ruth Yaron has written a well-organized, informative, and comprehensive resource for feeding your baby the best diet possible. I learned not only about baby food, but about nutrition in general and how to feed my family better. I am not a great cook, but the instructions given are quite easy to follow. There is information on which foods are appropriate for what age, which are least allergenic, how to choose the produce at the store, and how best to prepare it and store it. I was also pleased to find that making my own baby food results in money saved as well as better nutrition. Fellow busy moms and dads will also appreciate how little time it takes to do such a good thing for your child. We have enjoyed the "fun stuff" recipes, like making our own bubble solution, as well. I highly recommend this book.

Summary: An EXCELLENT guide to all aspects of feeding your baby !
Review: The Super Baby Food Book is an invaluable resource in my library. It was my "bible" as I was figuring out how best to go about feeding my first born solids. I wanted to give him the very best nutritional start possible and Ruth Yaron's tips guided me through step-by-step. As my son approaches his 2nd birthday his diet easily still consists mostly of all the fruits & veggies and whole grain breads, pastas, etc. He actually prefers these! This book is set up as an easy reference book and is written in light-hearted, "real" language. The produce section helped me shop, store and prepare food for our family and I'm planning on using info in the "Fun Stuff" section to help plan a couple of upcoming parties. This is now my favorite baby and shower gift to give! I can't imagine feeding my kids without it. (I look forward to using it again with our second child who's on the way!) I hope you enjoy the Super Baby Food Book as much as our family has.

Summary: This book is wonderful!
Review: As a new mother, I didn't know where to begin when it came to feeding my baby solid foods. I ordered this book because I had seen it in a catalog and have found it to be the most helpful and informative book I've read on the subject of food for babies (and adults!). Although I don't have much experience with cooking, the directions and recipies in this book are very easy to follow. My baby loves the food I prepare with the help of this wonderful book. I feel that I have learned a lot, and that my baby is much healthier eating the foods the author recommends.

Summary: Very helpful resource
Review: Great resource for when to feed your baby certain foods but very detailed and a bit confusing at times. It's great if you're a stay at home mom, but for those of us working full days, it's not entirely realistic. My big complaint is the anti-meat sermon. Fine if you want to raise your child as a veggie but most of us don't. Could do without the 'meat is the least healthy thing on the planet' lecture and could do with more information on how to prepare meat dishes.

Summary: A Must Have Book for You and Your Baby
Review: Out of all the books geared towards babies I've bought and received, this one is the best. It's simple and fun to read and answered so many questions I had about how best to feed my daughter a complete vegetarian diet. My super baby is nine months old now and she positively glows. I know that I'm giving her the best start she could have and establishing healthy eating habits she'll carry with her for the rest of her life.

Summary: Tremendous Resource!
Review: This book is a tremendous resource, especially for people interested in vegetarianism. Good books for vegetarian babies/children are difficult to find and if you are lucky enough to find some the ingredients are not always available. This fabulous book will walk you step by step as to what to feed your child at each month and new stage so you have the confidence to know you are feeding your child the best as well as giving that sweet baby more variety in their diet than jared baby food. This book is very detailed, but gives you a wonderful index so you can find anything!

Summary: A fabulous, sensible way to approach baby food.
Review: This book changed my ENTIRE outlook on not only baby food, but kitchen cleanliness, overall efficiency at home and the art of maximizing your money and food. The ideas are fresh, sensible and will help any mother to better prepare herself for the world of solid food. My little one has never been cleaner or more satisfied with her meals. Cheers!
