Summary: one of the best books on multiple personality I've ever read
Review: this book is an amazing book, about an amazing person, Cam has an amazing gift, and an amazing set of people :) not many multiples i know would just let the person who everyone wanted to talk to, straight back out. This book reads very well, and i was able to identify with both Cam, and Rikki, being the partner of a multiple personality. This book made me cry in parts, i would advise anyone who wants to know about multiple personality, to read it, but to be careful, as the book contains parts that could be triggering for survivors of abuse. Bearing that in mind, I'd still suggest anyone read it. It's helpful, and gives useful information.

I hope for Cam that clay and the others will be able to meet his son soon, and they will get to know each other. i know it can happen, a friend of mine, her children play with her littles, and they all love it:)

If you buy no other book on multiple personality, buy this one.

Summary: Incredible and captivating! I couldn't put the book down.
Review: I saw Dr. West on Oprah and his story is unreal! This book has so many peaks and valleys. The realism and thought provoking detail of his life makes you look at your own with more love and dedication to making every day better than the previous. I salute Cameron West (and the Boys)and his wife and child and wish them all the luck in the world!

Summary: Wonderful Book! Ignore the low ratings!
Review: This was one of the best and most touching books I have read! I have highly recommended it to many others!

Cam - I think that you should ignore the low ratings and be proud of the book you have written and feel good about writing a book that can help (and has helped) many of us. I think people gave the book negative reviews because they have never delt with DID so they think it is unbelievable. Thank you for sharing such a personal story with us.

You not only taught us about DID, but also about marriage and how couples can work through problems (even the most difficult times). GREAT JOB!

Summary: P.T. Barnum said it best
Review: It's hard to believe that so many people were taken in by this book; the author is clearly a con artist making a quick buck off a sensational life story. In my opinion, Cam either made the whole thing up or developed different personalities in therapy because he saw that having 'MPD' got him lots of attention. People with real mental illnesses don't write about them with such obvious pride. Has everyone forgotten the meaning of the word "malingering"?

A sucker is indeed born every minute, as the popularity of this book proves!

Summary: IN MY TOP 5 LIST
Review: CAMERON WEST ALLOWS US ALL A PEEK INTO HIS TROUBLED LIFE. I SAW HIS INTERVIEW ON OPRAH , AND I WAS A LITTLE SKEPTICAL AS WELL AS INTRIQUED. I DECIDED TO READ THE BOOK AND COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! I FOUND IT FASINATING AND WONDERFUL! I HAVE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IT TO SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS WHO HAVE ALSO LOVED IT! I APPLAUD CAMERON WEST FOR HIS COURAGE, AND CANT WAIT FOR IT IN THEATERS!

Summary: Spellbinding!
Review: I will be blunt. This is one of the most fascinating and intriguing books I have ever read. We learn so much about the spirit of one man, who not only has to cope with himself but terrible memories not even related by him, but the different parts of him (hope that makes sense). At times the writing is a little weak and there were pages that could of been cut, but Cameron's writing becomes better as the book progresses. All the best of luck Cameron in whatever you do!

Summary: This book moved my heart and soul!
Review: I have to say that I read this book within the space of 24 hours. I could not put it down. It is well written, making you feel like you are there, experiencing the pain right along with "them". It really helps you understand the resiliency of the human spirit and the adaptability of the brain to trauma. It is a profound account of an everyday man that is interrupted by this "nuisance" that he eventually understands and accepts.

A definite MUST BUY. The most gripping account since "SYBIL".

Summary: The most heartwrenching book I have ever read.
Review: This book was funny, sad, uplifting, all at once. That Mr west was able to write the book when there was so much going on inside his head is a credit to him and all his alters. I am so glad they have decided to work together. I look forward to his next book. Eileen

Summary: Powerful, Intriguing, thought-provoking
Review: I just finished reading this book, and what a look into multiple personalities! This book read like a novel, and lets you into Cam's life and his many alters who live with him. I laughed, and I cried, and I couldn't put it down! My prayers are with you, Cam---on your road to healing!!
