Summary: Organizing from the Inside Out: The Foolproof System for
Review: While this book is extremely detailed, it is overwhelming for someone trying to "simlplify". The chapters and layout would be better served as tip sheets, rather than lengthy case studies with tips buried inbetween.

Summary: No time?
Review: This is a great book that really helped me get my life organized. Considering how much of your life can be reclaimed by simply organizing your surroundings, I believe that the return on investment is the worth the cost and time spent reading the book. I wonder how "busy professionals" don't have time to read a 240 page book, but somehow have plenty of time to surf the net and complain online about not having enough time to read about getting organized. For those "busy"people lacking time for reading, I suggest that they turn off the computer and pick up a book instead of just reading about books at Amazon. Buy one, actually read it and perhaps change your life.

Summary: You can't afford timewise to NOT read this book!
Review: This is by far the best book on organizing. It tells you up front how long it might take to organize a room. I've used it throughout my house. Wish I could get my 14yo to follow this!

Summary: This book is a rich and valuable resource!!
Review: Why didn't anyone think of this before? It seems so obvious. Organization is not something grafted onto your life from the outside--it's a personal issue. If you want to get organized, look to yourself--your needs, your habits, what works (or doesn't work) for you. Once you've dealt with those issues, build a strategy that fits your needs and personal style. Julie's book is a user-friendly, quick and easy read--she guides you step-by-step with the grace and good humor of a friend who understands and is there to help. Parts I and II are essential reading and set the foundation; in Part III you read only what applies to your situation. Simple! Throughout there are hundreds of excellent tips--and they actually work! One of the great things about the book is this: not only did I get organized but in the process discovered a lot about myself and, surprisingly, the strategy for organizing my office became available to me as a resource in all areas of my life! Ignore the internet graffiti from "readers" from Maine and Colorado--these schlemiels didn't even read the book! For those who take their needs seriously, get this book. It's a gift. Thanks Julie.

Summary: Book itself needs to be organized
Review: I am a busy professional who wants to simplify my life. This book was overly cumbersome in that it is too long and drawn out. If you have the time to read this, it may be for you; for my part, I lost patience. I need simplicity;not a thesis.

Summary: Yah, like I have the time to read this!
Review: If I had the time to read this 9-point-font, 240 page book, I'd have the time to reorganize. It may be all of what other readers claim it to be, but they must have lots more time on their hands then I do. Truly, I am glad it works for others, but in short it does not work for me. More daunting than the task(s) at hand!

Summary: It Works!
Review: I bought this book about two months ago, and decided to wait on giving it a review, to see if the ideas in the book would work for me over time. I had lived in extreme clutter my whole life -- with paper, books, clean clothes, dirty clothes, old pizza boxes, empty soda cans, you name it -- all over the floor, all over the tables, all over the furniture, all the time. It was so messy that I was embarrassed to invite anyone over for quite some time, and I was convinced it was impossible for me to clean everything up, let alone prevent myself from creating further clutter.

But after reading this book, I got the motivation to get organized, and (finally) learned how to get organized in a way that works for me. And two months later, I'm still organized! I don't have to take time to clean up my messes because I simply don't create them anymore. I have more space now than I know what to do with. And I really don't do things much differently than I used to -- that's the most surprising part of all.

I recommend this book about as highly as I've ever recommended anything. It may sound cliche, but if it can work for me, trust me, it can work for ANYONE!

Summary: Well Written and Easy to Implement
Review: As an organization "junkie" I can honestly say that I have read most everything written on the subject. I have become so discouraged at the amount (large) and quality (poor) of the information available on this subject that I have resorted to borrowing books on the subject from my local library. I just finished reading this book (which was also borrowed from my library) and have ALREADY successfully implemented at least 4 ideas as a result!! I am so pleased with the author's approach to organization I am purchasing the book for my personal library. This is the first approach to organization that both my husband and I agree on. BRAVO!!

Summary: One of the best books on organizing that I have ever read.
Review: I originally saw the author on Oprah and tried some of her suggestions. They worked and I therefore ordered the book. I have about 30 books on organizing, but this one has given me easy and quick ways to complete tasks that I only dreamed of. I can now actually walk into my walk-in closet, my room and bathroom have been organized, but best of all everyone at my office has noticed that my desk is now organized and I can actually find things. This is a great book and as the previously most disorganized person I think on this earth, I highly recommend it. It really sounded as if she knew me personally. I loved it and keep it on my bedstand to refer to it. Pretty soon my whole house will a mecca of organization.

Summary: Feng Shui for yourself and your life
Review: I really like this book. Julie is a wonderful author who shows you ways to organize your life so that it truly fits you.

Read this book, it will help you get organized, and once you are, then your life energy (Chi) will flow smoother and opportunities and dreams will be more readily noticed by you.
