Summary: This is a great book which leads readers to a righteous way!
Review: During reading this book, my heart was getting warmed and moved by the precious message of 'LOVE' in this book. After finishing reading, I realized I had had strong desire in me for giving love to other people. This book defintely has the power to leads people to the love direction. I don't think the truth is always like 1+1=2; sometimes 1+1=1 becomes the truth(See water!). What I mean is we can find the truth from any book other than the bible. I believe anyone can see and feel the truth from any thing and any moment, as long as he/she opens his/her heart.

When we taste something good, we tend to want our loving people to have the same experience. I recommended this book to my brother. Later he told me he had been moved also.

Just open your heart and you'll get a real good gift from this book. And I hope you remember this: If something leads people to a righteous way, it is the truth. This book contains the something.

Summary: Inspirational! A testament to the human spirit!
Review: When I first read this book I had recently lost my cousin and a very close friend to freak auto accident and was struggling to understand why. Nothing seemed fair anymore and I resented God for taking two people I cared so much about. Reading Betty's book made me realize that this was selfish and ridiculous. Betty describes her experience with such detail and energy that everyone I know who's read this book has come away feeling like they understand our purpose here a little bit better. There's just not enough I can say about this book or the author. It was simply life changing!

Summary: Muddied by the author's belief system
Review: Betty J. Eadie's account of her near-death experience is fascinating, but very familiar, reading to anyone who has read books such as Life After Life or any Edgar Cayce material.

However, I feel that the author misinterpreted some truths of her experience, and came away with conclusions that are too grounded in her traditional Christian belief system. This will no doubt always be the case to SOME extent, and I do not blame her for this.

As an example, though, she describes a scene where some souls acting as aides pull back a "curtain" to reveal a homeless down-and-outer on the street. It is revealed to the author that this person's purpose in this life is to teach a particular person, who walks by him every day on the street, how to feel compassion. Both souls were no doubt associated with each other, prior to their current earthly lives, and the soul that is now playing the role of the homeless person had chosen to live this hard life for the other person's benefit. (The other person would see homeless person every day and it would move him emotionally to help the homeless person, thus teaching him a valuable lesson in compassion.)

This, in my view, is evidence of reincarnation. We set up the general situations of these "passion plays" in advance, and then play them out with our own free will, hoping to learn lessons (or teach them to others) in the process and advance ourselves higher in our soul development. Each lifetime can be viewed as another class, working toward the final graduation of oneness with God, when we don't have to come back to the Earth plane for another life lesson.

The author, despite having this revealed to her, nonetheless came to the conclusion that reincarnation is false; we only live one life. I just kept thinking that she was ignoring the evidence to the contrary. Still, I can see that if one is a traditional Christian that has rejected the idea of reincarnation all one's life, then it would be hard to interpret any NDE experiences without first filtering them through that belief system (or through any other, for that matter).

Summary: Betty was chosen to experience; we were chosen to share.
Review: I was thrilled with this book. Prior to reading it, I had already determined that Love was the most important thing in this world. How it behoves us to find common ground with our fellow human beings; to love unconditionally; to follow Christ's teachings; and to trust God to bring it to pass. I was similarly moved by My Awakening Heart and I want to share both books with everyone I know and love.

Summary: Changed my life!
Review: This book allowed me to go through a spiritual awakening. I was enthralled with Betty's personal and yet globally tangible story about love and life. In her death she found a renewed sense of being. In her rebirth I was able to find my inner light. A must read for those who are ready to love!!!

Summary: EXCELLENT!!!!!!
Review: Even if you don't believe in Betty's near death experience, if you live your life in harmony in the principles in this book you can't go wrong. The world would be ever so much better if more people would live their lives accordingly.

Summary: Hypnotic account, cannot put this book down, speelbound!
Review: This book makes you think, feel, dream and gives you hope for the future. You will be captive and will not want the book to end. You will want copies for friends and loved ones. The best account of life after death I have ever read Virgiinia Halsey e-mail at sweetandsassy@iinetone.net.

Summary: If you don't love this book, then you're living wrong
Review: Anyone who could say anything bad about this book misplaced their soul. This book teaches all of us how to live, it really explains to the best degree yet, the meaning of life, death, and what we should do on earth. It shows that our lives are three dimensional, and third dimension we can't see but it's more powerful than all the rest. If you are losing someone to a disease, or if a person that you love has died or been killed, read this book, and it will releave so much of your pain. There is life after death and after that....let Betty tell you.

There is so much that we don't know, but this book shows that we should all live our lives with a center of compassion and let nothing else take control. It's not about money, or fame or sex, or superiority. It's about living to help with whatever talent you've been blessed with. The rest of the stuff blocking our view of the truth is simply a trivial pursuit and God doesn't care what car you drive. But he does care about how you treat yourself and his other children.

Summary: Let's talk about love.
Review: This book changed my perspective about life. It really does not matter if it really happened that way or not but if you think about it, you will know it is true. There is nothing more important in life than to learn about love and the power of love. If just a quarter of the world understand love, the world would be heavenly. I truly believe that this book is an inspiration from the High Above; one of the many attempts to teach humankind about the key to salvation, and the key is love.

Summary: there's hope for us all no matter what we believe
Review: i do not know or really even care if this near death experience happened to betty or not. the philosophy she shares with the readers as to how to look at life are enough to be life changing. i picked the book up at a friends and read it in less than an hour. i was profoundly struck by the simplicity of what she shared. i find myself trying to look at each person i know or meet as a "kindred spirit", someone i may have known or loved. it doesn't even matter if the pre-spiritual beings exist. i want to treat each person i come in contact with as if they are someone that i have an eternal bond with. i think anyone at any level in their spiritual walk or battle can look at the world and their perception of God positively if they listen to the simple truths that betty shared in her story.
