Review: What I love about this book most is that it is written in simple language, is empowering and NOT condescending like John Gray's books, and it truly contains all the principles you need to making men feel good in your presence, which is what getting them to "fall in love" with you is all about (whether for the first time or all over again in a dead marriage.) Her principles of appreciating, admiring and truly showing sympathetic understanding of men may sound simple, but oh how we women today forget to do it or worse, were never TAUGHT how to do it by our working moms. This book is simple, fun and empowering and YES THE TECHNIQUES WORK. My love life turned around literally overnight. I went from dateless to marriage proposals. This book is a must read.

Review: when i read this book i was quite amazed at how relatively simple the insights it gave me were - basically it all boils down to keeping a man feeling loved, pampered and secure yet keeping boredom and complacency from setting in. i had just broken up with my boyfriend when i read this and my first reaction was wow, if only i'd discovered this book sooner! and a bit later, it's so obvious, why didn't i think of that? it opened my eyes to my faults albeit belatedly but next time i know better! i'd recommend reading this alongside richard carlson's don't sweat the small stuff in love, john gray's classic men are from mars, women are from venus and maybe later on lou paget's how to be a great lover....now all that reading should teach you a thing or two about lighting up your man's life while keeping his fire burning!

Review: When my brother saw this book in my room he joked, "Who needs to read a book about having a relationship? Isn't it common sense what you need to do to keep your man happy?" Unfortunately, not always..... This book was a quick and easy read with some very logical advice for changing your loving habits. Although many women might already use most of the techniques described, the author offered a few original ideas, as well as the (much-needed)advice to practice these habits EVERYDAY. Keep in mind that this is a self-help book and you will only succeed if you are truly open to and ready for change. For instance, you have to really want your relationship to work and be willing to make the effort in order to gain anything from this book. Don't expect anything out-of-the-ordinary or that you will learn amazing new secrets that will make your relationship perfect. What you WILL get is honest, rational and helpful advice on how to improve your life. Of course, I am a firm believer that both people must work at a relationship in order for it to thrive, so I suggest buying 'Light Her Fire' for your mate. We women can't do it all ourselves!!!
