Summary: The Hidden San Diego
Review: If you ever wanted to know a little bit more about the "hidden" San Diego, then you'll want to get this book. It's a wonderful collection of essay's that not only pay homage to North Peak in the Cuyamaca mountains, but offer a wealth of information on the rich history and inhabitants of this still rural San Diego getaway.

I really enjoyed the layout of the book too. Each chapter is named after a month and tells a story of things that you might encounter in Cuyamaca/North Peak during that month.

If you're looking for a field guide on the Cuyamacas or North Peak than this might not be the book for you. But, if you'd like to read about the diverse wildlife that make the local San Diego mountain range their home or learn some interesting San Diego history then I highly recommend it.
