Rating: Summary: Some Back Rooms and Little Clean Air Review: This is a very good book if your are looking info on what went on during the promulgation of the 1990 Clean Air Act. It is not, however, a book for conspiracy theorists. The industrial influence on the process is less than substantial, according to the book. This might be to Cohen's praise, as I know I went into the book looking for interest group politics. At any rate, its a good read if you are interested in the Clean Air Act, and washington in general, but I think that if you look at what the current administration is trying to do to the act, you might come to different conclusions about the more recent policy making process.
