Review: The Audubon Life List Journal makes for a wonderful gift for the birder. The print type and color pages are beautifully crafted. The book includes the most common birds of North America, but for the serious birder, the book lacks some of the more uncommon bird species one may encounter. For example, the Jabiru is an occasional visitor to Texas but there is no mention of it. Compared to a house sparrow, this would be a "memorable" sighting and more space alloted for unusual sightings would have been preferable. Furthermore, the book has no blank pages dedicated for other birds not listed in the text. Overall, though, this is a nice gift for the birder.
