Summary: Worked great for me...
Review: I have a small 13" TV in my bedroom. The remote it came with broke so I wanted to get an inexpensive replacement. This one worked perfect! Some universal remotes have a million buttons to control everything under the sun. This remote is relatively small and simple. However, it is much better than the original remote. 1.) The original remote did not have a 10-key direct channel input. All it had was channel up/down. I was somewhat surprised and very happy when I found I could use the 10-key pad to change channels. 2.) I really like the arrangement of the channel up/down, volume up/down and mute buttons. If you're a channel surfer and like to mute commercials, you'll like this too! 3.) This new remote is much more powerful than my old remote. The IR signal of this remote will even bounce off walls and change the channel! 4.) It has dedicated keys for menu, previous channel and sleep timer. This is perfect for my needs. 5.) Very "wife" and "old people" friendly. OK... I know that last statement wasn't exactly politically correct but you get the idea.

If the URC4605 doesn't work with your equipment, then it's not worth anything to you. However, if you're in the market for a remote that's small and easy to operate and the URC4605 will work with your equipment, I'm sure you'll like it!

Review: When attempting to program, none of the Sony codes worked with my 20" Wega. I even cycled through hundreds of codes for like 40 minutes to no avail. When I returned it to amazon.com I got penalized $5 for shipping. So an $8 remote - $5 return shipping = one sorry sucker, me.
