Summary: Where's the buttons?
Review: Unfortunately, I have to give this remote only one star. Not because of functionality, but because of serious quality issues. When I received the FIRST one, upon inserting the batteries, only five of the buttons lit up. The five that you could see lit up nice and bright, but not all the buttons lit up as the manual said they should. So I contacted CS and arranged for a replacement. The replacement arrived, I inserted the batteries (new), turned it over and sure enough, all the buttons were lit up, but so dimly you could barely see them. I was able to increase the brightness on the remote, but even at it's brightest, I found it to be only as bright as I would find acceptable for its lowest (dimmest) setting. While the first one I received only displayed partial buttons, it was nice and bright, so I had something to compare the second one to. So here we go agian, ANOTHER return. With quality this lacking, I am not sure if I will try another one.

Summary: Great Remote!! No problem with batteries.
Review: We love our new kameleon universal remote! Very easy setup and a great look! It is running our DVD/VCR combo, our cable box, our TV and our 300 disc CD changer. The only device we can not get it to work with is our Bose system. I have tried other universal remotes to work the Bose and they have also not worked. I think it is a problem with Bose and not the remote though.
The backlight function works great!! We have not had a problem with it staying on all the time and running down batteries. Just sit it on the coffee table when not in use, not the couch where you are always moving around. We have also not had a problem with the backlight not staying on long enough....just move it again and it will light up!!

Summary: invest in a battery company
Review: yes it looks cool but this thing suxxxxxxxxx on battery life and by sux i mean 24 hours tops with *****NO USE**** I HAVE OWNED 2 . neither one held a charge .I even switched battery brands .this thing just flat out suxx.dont waste your money
