Summary: Thought Provoking
Review: Although I had to read this book for a course I am taking, I really enjoyed reading it. The section "Urban Public Schools in the Twentieth Century: The View From Detriot" was of particuliar interest. The outlook taken really makes you realize some of the dire straits that schools are in. Anyone who wants to broaden their horizons concerning one of the most pressing issues in our society - education - would find this an informative and thought provoking source.
