Review: I have never seen a dictionary like "The Christian Student Dictionary!" I am so pleased to have it for my children to use. It has great illustrations from "abacus" to "zither" (I always wondered what a zither looked like!) In the margin, word origin or history can be found for some words. Also it has a great section at the begining called "A Guide to the Dictionary", written especially with the elementary student in mind, to teach how to use the dictionary. It even has practice activities to help the student practice using the dictionary. While it is a totally complete and up-to-date dictionary I especially appreciate the Christian world view reflected in the definitions and sample sentences. Also very interesting to me are biblical references included in the margins to further explain some words found in the Bible. I'm very pleased with this wonderful resource.
