Rating: 1 stars
Summary: complete waste of money
Review: don't even bother buying or reading this book. the lesson ideas given are useless and boring. they have little, if anything to do with the actual reading. if you want to do activities that are pointless then go ahead and buy this book. better yet, goto your teacher store and joint down the ideas there. don't spend your money

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I thought it was pretty good.
Review: I thought Maniac Magee was pretty good. It had a unique plot and characters with a lot of suspense. It was a little confusing at points but interesting. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to read.

Summary: Maniac Magee; true maniac? (please read all of this.)
Review: This book is for all ages and is a good book that all people should read. I say this because I just got finished reading it because I thought it was going to be a good book, I was wrong; it was a great book. By far the best one that I have read. Taking place in the East Coast or something where little boy Jeffree Magee is waiting for his parents to come home but they never do. His parents have been killed in an accident on the bridge coming back home. He runs away and sleeps with the deers in a zoo and any other place that he is able to sleep in. He eventually meets up with the Beale family. Jeffery is a white boy and that Beales are a black family. He first met Amanda Beale and he wanted to read one of her books. He got a book from her and read it. A few weeks later Jeffery meets "Mars Bar" for the first time. He takes the book from Maniac and them Maniac snatches it back, ripping out a page. Amanda sees Jeffery and rides her bike over there. The rest is for you to read. I hope that this helped you in the decision to read this soon to be classic novel.
