Summary: Like rats off a sinking ship....
Review: Now if you ask me, and a number of folks do more often than you care for me to elaborate, then this here book is the one you need if you are ponderin' on the option of throwing in the towel and going north. After the recent election I reckon a number of US passport holders are eyeing Canada with particular interest. If that describes you, then I wholeheartedly suggest you put some serious contemplation to the prospect of obtaining this here book for yourself.
I happen to be one of the folks in the United States of America who did not have the satisfaction of seeing my candidate of choice assume the office of President. However, you may be surprised to learn that I did not vote for whom you might could have thought I voted for. See, I selected a write-in candidate from over the other side of Stillwell, one Buster T. Flanagan, a fine upstanding man of good character and respectable upbringing. Buster done run in the past three Presidential elections and didn't get more than a few votes each time (mainly kinfolk and friends) but he is encouraged by the fact that each successive election he has increased his popular support by 500%. In 1996 he got one solitary vote (his own), in the 2000 election he managed to get a bunch of us in Chesterfield County to take him seriously and he upped his tally to a grand total of six votes (including mine), and in the 2004 elections he benefited from a little blurb they ran in the local newspaper and some paper out in California picked it up and ran the story and generated a lot of interest out there as well and ole' Buster ended up with a total of 36 votes. Even though Buster didn't make much of a showing, I ain't about to head up to Canada just because my man lost. No sir, I got more staying power than that.
On the other hand, if you are one of them folk getting antsy and worried because of certain political eventualities in the US of A, then I reckon this book lays it all out in black and white and answers pretty much all the questions about high tailing it to Canada. Now I know that this book pretty much says exactly what the Canadian government web page says and you can access that page for free (after factoring in your computer cost, electric bill, phone cost, ISP cost, and the snack food you go through while you sit there and read it) but I like having a plain old fashioned book in front of me so I can scribble notes in it and the like. See I do a lot of ponderin' and cipherin' in the margins and need a place to write while I work everything out. You can't do that on line.
I recommend this book and am much obliged to the publisher for including such useful tidbits of assorted information that I hadn't even considered. I ain't fixin' to go live in Canada, but if I was I'd be well prepared after having gone through this here book.
