Summary: Excellent detailed overview
Review: I totally disagree with the previous reviewer who gave 2 stars, this book is well structured and flows nicely, and the frequent citations in the text are to be expected in an academic textbook. The introductory foundations chapters are especially excellent, and the coverage throughout is appropriate to a comprehesnive overview. Yes, the book is a bit dense at times, but it would be hard to cover this much material without some occasional density. Highly recommended.

Summary: Incompletely Complete
Review: This book, while giving complete information, is poorly written and has an obvious political skew. There are constant references to "So-and-so says ..." and every second line there is a parenthetical documentation that severely breaks up any flow while reading. The information is complete, and extremely accurate, but that is a small pay off for the lack of structure and extremely small, congested print.
