Summary: A brilliant exposition of "praxis"
Review: An alternative to technological thinking is, or should be, of interest in many domains, e.g. psychotherapy, politics, management. The context for Dunne's critique is philosophy of education--specifically, a critique of the "teaching by the behavioral objectives model." Alistar MacIntyre provides a compelling introduction. A brief review cannot possibly do justice to this wonderful book which MacIntyre calls splendid and remarkable. It is both, and more. It deserves wide and careful reading and study. My own interest in the subject matter stems from work in psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy.
