Summary: A Slice of Brown Pie
Review: This book reads like a tabloid newspaper:- unfounded conclusions, a strong note of personal vendetta and outside influence and sensationalistic claims which are totally unfounded. All religions and philosophies need a fair analysis while 'A Piece of Blue Sky' merely sets out to smear Dianetics and it's founder, L. Ron Hubbard.

With this point in mind, we have to question a) the authors motives and consequently b) the books credibility. Is this book reliable? I think not. I can't believe I bought this book and read it; I would have gained a better insight into the world through reading 60 KG worth of tabloid gutter rag. There are many fair and unbiased analysis's of Dianetics and it's author, including an IRS investigation which dubbed Dianetics (and Scientology) a certified, tax exempt religion and many court cases proving the contrary of the claims in this book.

I am sure you will come to the same conclusions as I have when reading this book, however you must remember to sort opinion from fact.

Summary: A chilling but well-written book...
Review: Well being an ex sea org member and reading the book "Dianetics"
I must say that I really wnated to examine both sides to Scientology.
True you pay for courses and training but Jon Atak accuses all the Sea Org members of being greedy. Having been in the Sea Org I found that the members were thrilled with the succeses scientologist had on thier courses. Atak claims them to be greedy cowards who can't wait to "milk" the scientologist from thier money.
Actually staff members of churches are not greedy at all and are in fact uptone intelligent people.
Scientology has worked for me and of course being a high school drop-out I'am of course not rich at all and work at a warehouse. And have still been able to afford courses and counseling and I'am utterly happy to say I'm glad I was not fooled by the insanity in this book.
This book is pure bias the author is about as sane as anyone who blames thier troubles on the church itself.
