Summary: Not for the average man!
Review: I bought this book thinking that it would tell me something about the problems I was having with my car. Not knowing that much about cars I was just as clueless after buying it as I was before. Maybe they should put somekind of warning on the cover saying just how much machanical knowhow you need to use this book.

Summary: Not Bad for a Haynes Manual
Review: This manual is a good alternative to the expensive and mediocre General Motors Service manual. These cars are very difficult to work on and are not designed for warmer climates. The cooling fan shrouds are designed so you can't use a heavy duty radiator, which is conveniently not available. The Chevrolet Malibu is also a fleet vehicle used by many different goverment agencies, a poor choice in my opinion. (No Trailer Hitch and don't even think about changing the struts unless the car has some serious miles on it.)

Summary: Very complete for the home mechanic
Review: This volume contains even more information than previous Haynes manuals I have used. It contains good, clear photographs of various parts of the car in place and partially dismantled, not just line drawings. I was pleasantly surprised to find information on how to get the "check engine soon" light to go out after changing oil and other service procedures. It also includes a pretty complete set of wiring diagrams. These are things not always found in car repair manuals for the do-it-yourselfer.
