It served as a survival guide for myself as a mentor. I gave it to the teacher I was mentoring when she passed her state assessment. It's definitely a "must have" for educators!

Review: This is absolutely the best book I've ever read for new teachers and mentors. Actually, it's great for any kind of teacher or anyone who works with children. Parents as well can benefit immensely from some of Ms. Breaux's insights. The information comes from the author's many years of hands on experience working with both children and with other teachers in a classroom setting. The author's story is one of tremendous success--she practices what she preaches and the results are unimaginable. Now we have the great fortune of her sharing it all with everyone who wants to be a more effective teacher.
