Review: Friendships are things we all value and need but often take forgranted. This well written set of essays provides an interesting and varied account of friendships, both the authors' and those of women they interview. It's true "power" though may come from the thoughts and responses it provokes in readers. It makes us stop and think. I have sent two copies to two friends. The one who usually e-mails, wrote a formal thank you, and the one who seldom communicates actually phoned. I'm ordering 10 more copies for ten more friends and can't wait to see what happens. This charming book will strike a chord with all those (not only women) who value their friends above all else.

Review: I loved this book and would highly recommend it. This is the kind of book that you can read at the breakfast table or on the exercise bike, and want to stay longer to read more. I found many of the stories to have a truth to them that I was able to relate to very easily. I also bought many more books, for family members and friends. I hope that people who read this book, find that it can help them understand the many complicated layers of friendship that there are. I also found that some of these stories helped me in my own family relationships with my sisters. I found inspiration from these numerous women, to strengthen my own familiar ties.There is so much that we can learn from eachother, that there is a simplicity found here. The message is one that comes from the heart.
