To break free of the Asian mentality of staying silent is no small feat, but these authors do so with such admirable integrity and candidness making Asian American X an even more exceptional endeavor. The book leaves a wonderful aftertaste as one realizes one has unwittingly sampled a flavorful slice of American culture and inherited a better understanding of the complexities of tradition and identity.
