Summary: This is the best art history integration book yet!!!
Review: I have been teaching 5th and 6th grade for 10 years, and I have never seen a book that does as good of a job integrating art history into the curriculum as this book does. It gives relative art lessons that the students really enjoy. The slides are great! Everything you need to teach art history and art appreciation is in this book. It is well worth the price!!!!!!!!

Summary: Great for DBAE: New and thorough art ideas!
Review: This book is filled with creative ideas that include slides and lessons focused around actual artworks and artists. It is broken into easy to understand chapters by art eras. The slides are wonderful visual aids to support an art lesson. They center the focus and the goal ofthe lesson for both the teacher and students.

You can chose your lesson by activity or by content. This makes it appropriate for a simple craft lesson or a thorough Discipline Based Art Eduation Lesson, including art history, art criticism, aesthetics, and ofcourse studio art. I certainly recommend this book to every art room and art teacher. The slides correspond with the art activity, artist, and content being taught. It has been a wonderful resource for me, a recent Penn State graduate and new and excited art teacher
