Rating: Summary: A Wordy Book on Reading Comprehension Strategies Review: I originally purchased this book because it was required reading for a graduate-level class. Although it was very informative, it was also a difficult book to read because of the author's wordiness. Several times, I had to go back and re-read sections of the book. A significant amount of time was spent by Dechant researching the various theories that were presented, which is a big plus. Numerous studies are presented in support of the ideas expressed by Dechant. Bottom line? Very informative, but not an easy read. Not a book for leisure reading.
