Summary: This is a book for everyone with adventure in thier hearts.
Review: If you are a person that is looking for a book that is perfect for everyone this is it.It is wonderful how C.S.Lewis captivates the minds of the young and old in these fantasy books.I,m 13 years old and I read these books when I was 8. I can't seem to help myself. I keep reading these books over and over. The creatures that are in them I used to only dream about, now come completely to life in my head. These books are excellent for gifts expecially since Christmas is comeing up. If I could meet C.S.Lewis I would thank him for these great pieaces of liturature.

Summary: The Chronicles of Narnia are the best books ever!
Review: What can I say? They are wonderful!I loved them. Even though I'm Mexican I understood them very well, and they are the best books I've ever read in my whole life. They are so magical and fantastic... Who wouldn`t wish to get to a place like Narnia! I also think they talk about the Catholic faith in a magical way!

Summary: 'nuff said!?!
Review: Just as almost everyone else has said, this is a great series, possibly the best series ever written. That's fine but the most important point is "Get These Books ASAP." 'nuff said!?!

Summary: Totally captivating and believable fiction (to a 9-year-old)
Review: I love the chronicles. I read them over and over to this day. I wore out the set my mother gave me, and recently bought another. I'm going to save them for my children. They shouldn't have changed the order of the books though. Ah well, such is life...

Summary: An imaginary world with real-life applications
Review: My father began reading me the Narnia series, his favorite books, when I was in 2nd grade. I was completely enchanted in the world of Narnia, and the pictures in my head would dance with joy or weep with sorrow as the stories would unfold. I would always be eager to hear the next chapter, wondering how Edward the dragon would become human again, what Shasta would do now that he was a prince, if Aslan would be found at the end of the world by Reepicheep, ect. When my younger brothers began to get older we would listen to the stories together again and again. But the world of Narnia never grew old. I am now a special reading teacher, and I believe that some of my love of reading and literature came from the wonderful times spend listening to the words of C.S. Lewis. Every few years I read the series again and once again delight "my" imaginary world. I believe that every child, young person and adult could benefit from the beauty, wisdom, humor and courage in the Narnia series.

Summary: Amazing- my favorite books
Review: I loved the series- I have had the set for five years, since I was 8, and I've read each and every book in the series at least 10 times- probably closer to 20. The characters are strong, and the storyline is wonderful. I can't so much appreciate the religious influence Lewis gave the story, but I love the plot.

Summary: New order is the intended order
Review: I don't think that anyone needs another person to commment about how wonderful this series is, but I would like to note that the reordered box set is in the order that C. S. Lewis intended. Although he didn't publish them in this order, it really is a much more sensible way to read the series. I was a little upset when I learned they reordered the series, but since it's according to C. S. Lewis' wishes, it's all the better. Plus, being in the middle of reading the series in chronological order makes the story much more linear (of course) although the elucidation experienced from reading the old non-chronological order has been a bit lost. Those who have already read the series, please read them again in the order that C. S. Lewis wanted. It's really a great series either way - perhaps better now that it's in the order that C. S. Lewis originally wanted.

Summary: A Magical epic adventure for all ages
Review: This is the greatest series I have ever read. It's a broad sweeping tale of fantasy and the ongoing battle between good and evil. When I graduated to novels several years ago I thought that the books would be too juevinnile. When I recently reread them I found that they were just as imaginitive and rang just as true. My copy of the Chronicles of Narnia is now falling apart from having been read so much. I often wish that C.S. Lewis had written even more books,I love these! Thanks for introducing me to them,Mom and Dad And Aunt Gwen!

Summary: A true 'must read'
Review: I first read these books when I was 8 and am still reading them 14 years later, sometimes re-reading them just days after having finished the series. Their ability to be read on more than one level - as a normal adventure or as a Christian allegory - and Lewis's ability to grip the reader at every turn, mean that they should be read by all ages. To call them children's books is to deny them a wide readership. Regarding the reading order, it may be helpful to know that in several letters, C.S.Lewis suggested they be read in chronological order rather than by order of publication. This is the way I personally prefer to read them, although I have to admit the first one I ever read was The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. These books offer an excellent springboard to other works by Lewis, whether his Sci-Fi stuff - The Dark Tower, The Cosmic Trilogy, his Theological works - Mere Christianity, Prayer: Letters to Malcom and others, especially the hilarious Screwtape Letters. If you can, try to get your hands on the BBC Television adaption of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, Dawn Treader, and The Silver Chair or the BBC Radio Dramatisation of all seven. Both are excellent adaptions of excellent stories.
