Rating: Summary: These adventures suit all. Review: The Cronicals of Narnia will spark up your child's imaginationand send them flying through a magical, mistical world ofsurprises. They are so wonderful!
Rating: Summary: A must for all! Review: I have read these books several times and loved it every time.I still do. You start to be a part of Narnia when you read them. Iwill definately have my future children read them and believe the message.
Rating: Summary: Pure Masterpiece! Review: Ever since grade school when I was first introduced to these works of art, I fell in love with them. They capture the immagination and take you on a wonderful adventure that can never be forgotten. Personally I think the best is The Horse and His Boy, and I read it faithfully every year!
Rating: Summary: One of the best book series for all ages Review: Even though these books can be considered children's literature, they apply to all ages (just like "The Little Prince" does). After you read anyone of these books, you will believe that Narnia is real, that Aslan and all the characters in the stories actually exist; and probably some day you will find the gate to that extraordinary world. A must read.
Rating: Summary: Brings Back Memories Review: This was a series of books that I grew up with, I do think that the series is better in it's original order (which you can read in tons of other comments), and I also think that this book can be difficult for children to understand, when I was younger I remember the difficulty I had in understanding and reading the books because of the english in them (english english, not american english) and I am so used to american english. I also just finished watching the series of videos, and I wish that they had videos for all of the movies because the videos are pretty true to the stories. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the order of the books (The Magician's Nephew is so much better after you've read the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe)
Rating: Summary: A Classic Series! Review: This, in my opinion, is one of the greatest series of books ever written. Even if you discard every aspect of Christian allegory the books are still well told, creative works. When one adds in the Christian allegory it becomes an even deeper book with more meaning. Classics!
Rating: Summary: true CS Lewis was a christian but, Review: The thing that makes these things so beautiful is not that the author was a christian but that they offer hope. the reason i love these books so much is because they gave a doorway to another world. even to this day. whenever i and my family move to a new house or i visit a friend i find time to explore ALL the wardrobes and closets. These books should be read and cherished, but never labeled.
Rating: Summary: Wonderfull reading... Review: We've read these books thru several times during the 25 years we've owned them. And, our children have read them all at least 3 times during their childhood. Our family very much enjoys the fiction works of C. S. Lewis.
Rating: Summary: I still Iike it. Review: My parents read this aloud to me when I was in my pre-kindergarten years so this story was always somewhere in my memory. I just picked it up recently and find just as gripping as when I would beg my dad to read another chapter years ago. The plot is great, and the symbolism is apparent. This is the best fantasy series I have ever read.
Rating: Summary: Beasts talk and you read. You can't help but love 'em! Review: LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! C.S. Lewis hit it big. I'm glued to it, every word! I wish I was in Narnia, really! My family loves it, too. It is so fun reading, since those books came into my life. Read, read, read, once I stop,I say,"Just a little more.Maybe the rest of the books!" It's GREAT!
