Summary: Be There For The Entire Time of the World of Narnia!
Review: IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A MAGICAL STORY, HERE'S YOUR SERIES!

The order the plubisher put them in after Lewis wrote them is as follows, although I'm not sure I spelled everything correctly:

#1 THE MIGACIAN'S NEPHEW

#2 THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE

#3 THE HORSE AND HIS BOY

#4 PRINCE CASPAN

#5 THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER

#6 THE SILVER CHAIR

#7 THE LAST BATTLE

The star charecter of the books, I can tell, is easily Aslan, and his bravery in LION was stunning!

NARNIA is a true favorite, a treasure, and a classic.

Please Note: Personally, I believe the easiest way to read them all is by buying THE COMPLETE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA (a 500+ page book including the full text of ALL SEVEN Narnia novels), or by buying the boxed set (either in hardcover of paperback.)

Any way you read them, make sure you will be there for the entire Time of The World of Narnia. You'll surely enjoy it, trust me! _________________________________________________

Please Also Read These Other Reccomended Series and/or Books:

MARY POPPINS SERIES by P.L. Travers

HARRY POTTER SERIES by J.K. Rowling

Summary: Not just for kids!
Review: This is a wonderful series- full of imagination, creativity, and suspense. I read all 7 books in one week and as a result can't get interested in any other books. They just don't compare to the intrigue that Lewis created in "The Chronicles..." Lewis created timeless and ageless works with "The Chronicles..." I only found one thing wrong- that these are the only books he ever wrote for kids!

Summary: I would give it 80 stars if I could
Review: Reviewer: A reader from Franklin, Tn January 24, 2000 Okay, words can not describe how much these books mean to me. These 7 books are what started my love for reading. I read them when I was in 5th grade, and I was one of those kids who loathed reading. But when I discovered these classics, I beame an avid reader. These seven tales take you on a wonderous trip throughout the land of Narnia. You follow the lives of a handful of children, and the magical adventures they play out in Narnia. They are guided by the wisdom af Aslan the lion. He takes the children on a number of amazing adventures that change their lives. Again, I really can't explain how influential these books have been on my life. My personal favorite is _The Voyage of the Dawn Treader_. I truly cherish these tales, and you will to when you read them.

Summary: Chronicles of Narnia
Review: I loved these books and I recommend that you read them. They are about 3 different groups of children who venture into a world called Narnia. If you read these they should be read in this order: The Magician's Nephew, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Horse and his Boy, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair and the Last Battle. Read them!

Summary: Lions come first!
Review: Kudos to prior reviewer Peter O'Malley for his eloquent theory on the correct ordering of the books. I agree-- the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe must be read first! This magical book captures the reader's attention and is a delightful introduction into the world of Narnia. The Magician's Nephew, an infomative "prequel", should be read sixth.

Summary: The story of our planet, with a magical twist.
Review: I have read these books over and over again. These stories are entertaining, exciting, and easily read. The magical setting, heinous villians, and courageous heros are enough to keep anyone reading one book after the other. The most amazing part about the stories are their implied and spirital meaning. C.S. Lewis created the magical land of Narnia through reflections on both the bible and earth's history. As a devoted Christian, C.S. Lewis's writing is saturated with the word of God. While reading each story look for biblical connections, they are quite obvious. What I am getting at is that these books can help your spirital life, and better your understanding of our God (Christian perspective of course). These books have brought to light the character of our God in my life. From Genesis to Revelations, the sacrifice of Aslan by the white witch and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. These are obvious and beautifully illustrated in these stories. I hope that everyone who reads this review will consider looking into these children stories for adult content.

Summary: The Chronicles of Narnia
Review: These are definitely some of *the* books for fantasy lovers. The characters sometimes change from book to book, but they always find a way to Narnia. One thing about these books is that they really differ from eachother, so you might love one book and dislike another. Also, the time differs in Narnia from in the characters' world. As a result, each book is many years farther in future than in the book before it. These books are probably good for kids around ten years old.

Summary: The Chronicles of Narnia
Review: I got the boxed set as a 10th birthday present from my Grandma, and read them all immediately, with a child's eyes. They were so wonderful and really stimulated my imagination. A few years later I read them again, and this time picked up all the biblical references. This diminished my enjoyment slightly since I realized that the innocence with which I had originally read them had gone, and my more (cynical)adult mind perceived "preachy" elements in the stories. Nevertheless, this series has always been one of my favourites, and in the 26 years since they were bought for me, I have read and reread them every few years - and I still have that original boxed set!

Summary: Perhaps the most beautiful set of books written...
Review: The Chronicles of Narina are amazing stories. Few books are as layered like these... what I mean is that they can be taken on so many different levels. I remember hearing the stories as a child and how much fun they were, but when I read them now I get a glimpse into C.S. Lewis' theological insights on God and the nature of man. These books are very symbolic (Aslan is the most beautiful and smart depiction of God I have ever read) on such a simple yet genious medium: stories for children. These books are a MUST READ -- they will change your life. I personally like the new order of the books. It was C.S. Lewis' wish that they be presented this way (the Magician's Nephew first), and he was the artist behind the stories, therefore, this is the way he wanted his stories to be experienced. In any case, the books are great either way you choose to read them.
