Summary: A junk book harms the peace between US and China
Review: Not worth reading at all! It just tries to use your curious to earn your money...

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Very Bad
Review: Seems like this another one of those read-my-nonsense book, I have no idea what's the intention behind this book, trying to start WWIII? THis book is a polution to minds.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Pure garbage and feeble fallacy
Review: The authors are very much disenfranchised with the People's Republic of China and the fact that they wrote this drivel is surprising, especially given the supposed ranks of some of the authors - which are undoubtedly false as well.

I am surprised [website] even offers this garbage. Oh yes, freedom of speech and all that!

This book is not worth the paper it was printed on! Absud trash and akin to urban myth generation - better material can be found on snopes.com - for FREE!

Summary: must reading for all Americans
Review: The Chinese military has given a stern message to the World by the types of attacks they prescribe in this book to defeat the United States and the democratic allies. The Introduction by American military historian, Al Santoli, who wtote one of my favorite books on the Vietnam War, Everything We Had, shows that two years before 9-11 the Chinese military was predicitng a second attack on the World Trade Center, as well as highlighting the tactics of Osama bin LAden (by name) and advocating subversion of the world's economy and attacks on the Internet. "Unrestricted Warfare"is must reading for all Americans to better understand the threat we face in the not-too-distant future.

Summary: The cover is misleading
Review: The cover of the book is misleading. China has nothing to do with September 11.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: The subtitle and cover picture of the book are misleading.
Review: The editors of the book are not responsable. For some reasons they want readers to believe something that are not true. Anyone who has a little bit knowledge of Chinese history wouldn't believe what has been explicitly pronounced by the subtitle of the book. There have been many attempts to destroy China during last several centuries. However, China is always trying to maintain a peaceful relationship with its neighbours. It is just not true that China will cross the ocean to " Destroy America". The authors of the book just expressed their academic opinions about unrestricted warfare. But there are more than 1300 million people in China. It is common for some people to have extrem opinions.

Summary: Uncanny union of hawks
Review: The original Chinese authors, Col.Qian and Col. Wang may sue Mr. Al Santoli and his publisher for misrepresentation of their original book and the misleading cover image if the latter do not have the former's approval. However, it is hard to believe that the publisher could list them as the 1st and 2nd author without their consent. Either way, I can see US $s flying into the 2 PLA officers' bank account. It is an uncanny union of hawks of two camps who believe that the collision and war between China and US are inevitable. As American, I worry more about our hawks. They have proved themselves to be capable of making wars against alleged enemies. We have heard enough recently about pre-emptive strike as our national defense policy, about US being a good empire obligated to spread our political believes around the globe. The unrestricted warfare advocated in the original Chinese version, on another hand, is primarily a defensive measure as a strategic black mail. It is not a "master plan to destroy America." It is out of the author's frustration felt by many in countries that have repeatedly humiliated by us. That's why people in those countries had cheered when Twin Towers came down. We have to make a distinction between people who undeniably share in some degree the same abhorrence towards us and the terrorists. We would defend our freedom by strength our home land defense and promote a new world order through peaceful means. Democracy cannot be imported and it has to start from inside despite the popular and very tempting believe nowadays that we are an empire and we out to do more militarily for the world. For Chinese, you should rein in your hawks as well. It is dangerous to let them get out of hand.

Summary: junk book with disgusting and misleading subtitle
Review: The subtitle of this book is trying to mislead the readers.
This title page would possiblly leave a impression to most readers
that China got involved into the 9-11 issue while that's not the truth at all.

As translators, to follow and respect the original works should be
professional ethics. In the Chinese version, the authors basically
pointed out some trivial facts which happened almost everyday at that
time in Israel, Chechenia(Russia) and Xinjiang(Muslin area in northwestern
China). Eventually, the theory also got proved by some later things,
for instance, the 9-11 attack, the hostage issue in Moscow and the bombs
in Beijing last year, in Bali island of Indoesia several months ago and

in Kenya recently. However, in this new English version, the it became
some China's master plan to destroy America. Apparently, the translators
misrepresented the authors by putting
their own imagination into this English version without any caption.

Summary: This material is available for FREE on Internet
Review: The text of this book is available for free on the Internet. The marketing is sensationalistic and does not tap into what really is in the book. Previous articles have mentioned that using civilain aircraft as bombers and hiding behind bin Laden were tactics advocated by this book- however the language is far more subtle than that, and nowhere is there direct advocacy of anything. The book purports to be a prediction of directions for future warfare. If the Chinese were indeed behind 9-11, no case could be made from this book alone.
