Rating: Summary: misleading -- not worth reading Review: I live in New York City and my life has been changed dramatically by 911. The sensational title attracted my attention and I bought a copy. I am, however, quite disappointed by the fact that the book is written based on more speculation and imagination than actual facts. China is by no means an US ally, but far from an enemy either. I travelled to China a couple of times, and Chinese are friendly people. I don't think the Chinese government is stupid enough to provoke a war with US, given US military's superiority and that they have enough headache dealing with a huge unemployed population (in the order of 10millions). The cover picture with burning twin towers might be quite effective (at least for people like me that has been changed deeply by 911) in getting people's attention, but all I can say is that it's a good commercial. Read the book with your brain, not your eyes.
Rating: Summary: The subtitle is misleading Review: I read the book and didn't feel there is any sort of plan to destroy USA. The authors are not military "planners" but rather military writers, who in PLA are a group of privileged intellectuals producing literatures from fictions to documentaries. To call this book a "military manual" is laughable. The Chinese version doesn't have the subtitle. Adding the subtitle, obviously for the hype, by Mr. Al Santoli or his publisher, is unethical, misrepresenting, and displaces a naked ill wish for the future of US-China relation. The substantial mentioning of Bin Laden in the book is related to the discussion of rule-breakers in warfare, which the book disapproves. It merely says it is a viable form of warfare with new technologies that nations should take it seriously. OK for entertainment reading. PLA or CIA take it seriously? Laughable, unless they all read NewsMax for guideline.
Rating: Summary: chinese people are very happy about 911 Review: i was in china during 9.11. in the morning of 9.12 all chinese in the streets are so happy like they just won the world cup.
Rating: Summary: A must read for those who wish to be informed Review: I when I saw the one star reviews on this website I became very suspicious. I read the book to see for myself and came to the conclusion that those giving this book one star 1) Did not read the book, 2)Are those who wish for this information not to get out, 3)Americans who do not care about the well being of this country because they let there political idealogy get in the way of realizing and admitting to the truth. I say get with the program people, and stop being useful idiots!

Rating: Summary: Use your logic instead of imagination Review: I would like to tell all readers some facts: 1.70% of Chinese exports are shipped to the U.S. After Sep.11, thousands of Chinese people lost their jobs because of the economic depression in the U.S. China hopes that the U.S. economy mantains prosperous but not on the contrary. 2.China has a huge investment in the U.S. with private investment reaches 40 billion dollars. 90% of Chinese government¡¯s foreign currency deposit is saved in the U.S. Because of Sep.11 and the low rate follows this event, Chinese government has suffered a huge lose in its savings. If China had really planned the Sep.11 attack, it would have withdrawn its entire savings from the U.S. 3.When the U.S. proposed an anti-Iraq resolution in the U.N. last month, China was the president of U.N. Security Council at that time. China helped the U.S. by persuading other members in U.N. Security Council to vote for this resolution. Finally all 15 members voted for the U.S.¡¯s resolution without any veto or abstention. The U.S. never had such a foreign policy success before. 4.China has lots of internal problems including terrorist attacks in northwestern China, independence of Taiwan, jobless, and natural disasters. It has no interests to launch any attack against the U.S. China is a big country and has a big population. Its all people can¡¯t hide into mountains after provoking the U.S. Nobody in China will support the Chinese government to launch such kind of plan. 5.There are many weapon producers in the U.S. They want more money from the U.S. government. They want to create a pseudo-enemy so that they can have excuses to get money. China, which always pursues peace, is a victim of the U.S. internal politics. Weapon producers create many rumors in favor of their own interests. However, I find that their behaviors harm the fairness, justice and honesty, which are important values of the U.S. Most Chinese people are very friendly to the U.S. because Amercians helped Chinese unselfishly in the World War II. Many American pilots died in China and you may find monuments to commemorate them there. I don't want to see the people from both countries turn to be a tool of weapon producers, who only want to pursue their own interests but not the common interests of both countries.
Rating: Summary: THE GOVERNMENT KNEW AHEAD OF TIME! Review: I would recommend this book to all true Americans that want to have their eyes opened to facts that they will never see on television. I was shocked when I read in this book that our government knew over THREE YEARS ago the plans that China and the al-Qaeda had in store for our country. The US government was completely aware of the hatred that Osama bin Laden and his terrorist organization had for our country, as well as the fact that bin Laden was supported by China. Unrestricted Warfare is China's "play-book" for all out war with America.
Rating: Summary: misleading Review: It is crystal clear and a hard fact that 911 tragedy has NOTHING to do with China. Therefore, this book's title "China's Master Plan to Destroy America" and the companion cover picture of New York twin tower under attack are MISLEADING readers. It is irresponsible and vicious. It is going to MISLEAD USA's war on terrorist to an ENTIRELY WRONG direction and it is going to destroy the peace of the world.
Rating: Summary: Hard Truth That Should Be Known Review: It may be hard for some to connect China with al-Queda and militant Islamists, but the facts are that China IS very definitely involve. China had over 150 military advisors captured by the U.S. in the Afghanistan War. But don't take my word for it, read this book and read their own words! THIS BOOK IS NOT for those who enjoy living in the ignorant bliss of getting most of their news sifted, edited and served in network news sound-bites.
Rating: Summary: A bit short, but very good Review: It was a bit short, but a very good read at any rate.
