Summary: Poorly written and not useful - save your money
Review: As a new RV owner, I was very eager to purchase this book and two others so I could become familiar with the terminology and learn about how to use and take care of my RV. After reading The RVer's Bible (by Kim & Sunny Baker) and RVing Basics (by Bill & Jan Moeller) first, I was thoroughly disappointed with this booklet. The other two books are very detailed, well written and I give them high marks. However, this booklet is very basic, skims over most topics and is sprinkled with so many grammatical errors I had to toss it in the waste paper basket. Fortunately, a co-worker told me about the awesome Amazon.com return policy, so all was not lost. Save your money and buy the other two books!!

Summary: An eyeopener for a novice RVer
Review: Being of a cautious nature when spending money on recreation, I bought "Your Home On Wheels", thinking it would be a good idea to have some first hand knowledge. I was NOT disappointed. In plain, easy to understand language I was given RVing 101, and
because of the book I invested in a travel trailer.I say invested because it was an investment to a happier lifestyle. The book has kept me from making basic mistakes, and assisted me in determining my needs for any extended travel. It is definitely a book worth keeping handy since it has some excellent checklists.
I highly recommend this book to anyone considering becoming an active RVer.

Summary: Don't leave home without this book!!
Review: Carol Ray's book is not only what every RVer needs. If you an RVer and you don't buy this book it is like going fishing and not bringing a fishing pole. Well-written, illustrated with great stories, the book ought to be in the glove compartment of every RV on the road.

Summary: Your Home On Wheels
Review: I found the book to be very helpful in all subjects on rving the author told of the mistakes that they made and what they use. the chapter on the power was very good and the fact that they pointed out how to choose a dealer was very helpful in getting some to help us select a unit of our own. there was a lot research that went in to what they selected to use Need an other book from them on trips that they took

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is the best...but I'm prejudice
Review: I liked this book the moment I read it but then again I am prejudice as I am the daughter of this author. I recommend this book highly not because she is my mom but because the book is well written, informative & humorous. The time spent not only writing but researching has paid off immensely...don't miss reading this book it's worth the money.
