Summary: Some of my favorite authors blurbed this book
Review: I have just started reading Ben Shapiro's fine book, and enjoy the wit as well as the wealth of egregrious examples of university indoctrination. Chapter 3 deals with pro-Marxist professors, their blind devotion to that discredited ideology is astounding. Considering that Ann Coulter, David Limbaugh, and David Horowitz blurb his book, I look forward to following his future endeavors.

Summary: High school graduation gifts!!!
Review: After reading the reviews, I immediately ordered books for high school graduates (my daughter is one of them) for graduation presents. They will need this book along with Mike Adams "Welcome to the Ivory Tower of Babel" to survive in college. And yes, I read the 1 star reviews, which, you will note, are anonymous, and just spews hate. If the liberals hate this book, then I must have it. When will they "get it?"

Good job, Ben!

Summary: Well written, well argued, well documented
Review: Some of the reviewers dispute this because it hasn't been their personal experience, they claim "conservative propaganda" but do nothing to provide evidence. Unfortunately, I have had similar experience at SUNY Albany where some of the teaching staff turned the liberal arts department into a platform for Marxism (and you thought it was dead!)and I wasn't in an economics or philosophy class (even though Marxism has been a failure everywhere it's touched, it's an important historical ideology) Incidentally, even if one hasn't had the personal experience of antiwestern indoctrination, most professors surveyed have a liberal bent, many have a radical liberal bent, academia is actually one of the places that will employ and raise someone with a radical liberal bent

Summary: Interesting
Review: All I see here are one and five star reviews. Not surprising. The five star reviews come from conservatives, no doubt, who remember what is was like being in college and constantly being thrown liberal "sliders" and sometimes "fastballs" in the classroom. Whether or not the author is providing facts is truly left to the reader to decide. I ask those who do not think he is providing facts to write a piece proving this author is in fact not shooting straight with his readers. If you can't, then shut-up. It is the typical liberal thing to immediately label someone negatively without providing any backup. From looking over these reviews I see a bunch of conservatives who remember their college experience to have liberal bias (just as the with the media) and a bunch of liberals who think their college experience was "normal" (like with the media). "Pigs don't know Pig's stink" "A fish don't know he's wet".

Summary: Fabulous!
Review: This is really in response to the reviewer who states that he is from the same learning institution as Shapiro. I hate to break it to you, whoever you are, but no professor actually has to directly state their political ideology to you in order to infuse their liberal points of view into your "open" mind. When was the last time you saw Dan Rather, or Peter Jennings, or Tom Brokaw say "Good evening, America, I'm a Liberal Democrat and here's the liberal biased news....."???

Summary: Brilliant Young Man with a Bright Future
Review: I would venture that most of the leftists who are so outraged by Mr. Shapiro's work have not even read it. Regardless of the ideology of the work, it is quite impressive alone to be a published author and syndicated columnist by the age of 20. Of particular humor is the brilliant response by one malcontent 'Ben Shapiro is a 20 year old virgin". I don't even know where to begin with such a sophomoric and assinine comment, or even how remotely even if true this has to do with reviewing a book. When angered by someone who questions or exposes the glaring faults with their warped ideology, the left's only recourse seems to be ad hominem attack and name calling. If Mr. Shapiro is a 20 year old virgin (somehow this is a negative thing) it certainly is not because of circumstance, but probably because of the lack of intelligent partners at UCLA, as indicated by some of these "reviews".

Summary: Use this book to innoculate college students
Review: Ben Shapiro has performed a real service for parents of college students. My daughter will be starting college this fall, and I will be sure to give this book to her, not just to read, but for us to discuss. I had known that our traditional middle-class values would be challenged at her university, but I had no idea how pervasive the indoctrination was outside of the liberal arts classroom. Thank you, Ben, for giving us such a detailed insider view of what passes for higher education these days.

Summary: Ben Tells it like it is, Beware of the College Campus
Review: I read Ben's book with "shock and awe". I have been familiar with Mr. Shapiros's writings for the UCLA Daily Bruin, and have heard him speak on a few occasions .He is a real hero, because he talked about this stuff happening on the campus before it was fashionable, and he stood up to the UCLA authority, went on local radio and told what happened when he tried to report on AL Talib, a MSA newspaper, being funded by taxpayer dollars, and what their political agenda was. All this prior to 9/11. He is a young man, who should be watched, and looked at as a future leader of our country, Ben is the Best, a great read!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Unbelievable
Review: After reading this book, it isn't a shock to see a bunch of one-star reviews and a bunch of five-star reviews. It's definitely controversial. What did surprise me is how uninformed and juvenile the one-star reviews are. This book is a revelation. Every American needs to know what's going on at our colleges. Our taxes are going there, and our children are going there. It's not too often we get an inside scoop on what's happening, and that's what this is. Instead of calling names or nitpicking, people should take the message of Shapiro's book to heart.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Conservative Propaganda
Review: Being a student of the same university that the young Shapiro attends, I can sadly say that he misrepresents our institution. I have NEVER had a professor even mention their political ideology in or outside of a classroom. There are so many incorrect quotes in this book that The Lord of the Rings comes across as more realistic than this sad attempt at intellectualism.
