Summary: the spanglinguistic bible
Review: This is the type of book I like to start the day with. Verbs are almost as quickly forgotten as their conjugations and for me studying Spanish without this book would be like walking without a skeleton. I don't see how a reference book could be more practical: The verb, its conjugations, stems, practical sayings... The big print is great(though even a touch bigger would be ok) and easy on the eyes. I wish there were a part 2.

Summary: The Best Spanish Verb Book I Have Ever Seen
Review: This book is simply amazing if you are a beginner and want to learn Spanish verb conjugation. I was a first year Spanish student when I bought this book and I believe that now I could converse with the 3rd and 4th year students. It taught me all 14 Spanish tenses. I don't think I would have ever learned my present and perfect subjunctive tenses. Thank you Christopher Kendris

Summary: A good book for translating Spanish verbs.
Review: After 10 years of not using Spanish, except an occasional cliche or two, I have found myself translating ca. 1950 Spanish documents into English. 501 Spanish Verbs has been a great help in making sense of the verbs and myrid tenses used in that language. Between 501 Spanish Verbs and a good dictionary (and a significant amount of time), I am able to make sense of most everthing I have come across.

Summary: Very useful
Review: Clears up the confusion of Spanish verb conjugations that bewilder beginners as well as those of us that have studied the language for years. A great referance manual, I still consult it.

Summary: It is a "must have" for the serious Spanish student!
Review: I bought my first copy of this book in 1987 and I wore it out! One could not ask for a more complete and comprehensiver verb reference book. It is put together in an easy to follow, comprehensive manner. It begins with a concise explination of each tense (simple and compound) with examples for each. That alone is reason enough to warrant owning this reference. It then goes on to fully conjugate 501 verbs in each tense, with one verb per page, listed alphabetically. So, for example, if you forget the irregular command for of the verb "dar," no problem, just look it up under "d." And there it is along with the verb's meanings, all its conjugations, and examples of idioms commonly associated with this verb. I studied Spanish for ten years and used it all the time. Now I am a Spanish professor, myself, and I still keep it on top of my reference books and reccommend it to all my students.

Summary: A must for any student or teacher of Spanish
Review: I am a high-school Spanish teacher, and I bought my first copy of this book while I was in college. It is worn, torn, and stained with pizza, but I use it daily. Since there are so many verb tenses in Spanish and virtually impossible to remember them all, this book is the ultimate crutch as well as a fantastic learning tool. I don't think I would have ever learned the subjunctive without it! My only regret is that it doesn't come in hardback. The information is concise, well- organized, and easily accessible. I have never found a reference book like this one.

Summary: It's the best reference for High School Spanish!!! : )
Review: I really love this book because I've been taking high school spanish for four years and I've always needed reference to verb conjugations!

It's already helping me do my homework better and some irregular verbs (like haber) are fully conjugated. Even the simple ones, like comer, are throughly conjugated. Also, the 4th edition comes with practice drills that are really helpful!

No other reference beats this one because none other has complete verb conjugations, ways to use the verb, and practice tests! A must for all high school spanish speakers!

Summary: this was my bible through college
Review: As an educator in encourage all my Spanish students to purchase this book. As a former college student I know for a fact that this was the best purchase I made through college. It was the most useful book I have used for the last eight years as a student and a teacher.
