Summary: If you think Ann Coulter has an honest bone in her body...
Review: ... try reading Al Franken's "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right." Franken thoroughly examines the journalistic "integrity" of the 41 (or is it 39???) year old Ms. Coulter and finds it thoroughly wanting.

Summary: Thank You Ann!
Review: Once again, conservatism's most courageous voice has said what has needed to be said. Americans should be thankful to Ann Coulter for her fearless and scholarly efforts in setting American history right. I can think of no other author who could take on the venomous cabal of the Left by defending the work of Senator Joe McCarthy with such effectiveness and style. Ann has felt like many other Americans that the efforts of McCarthy have needed to be re-examined under a new light, free of liberal distortions and outright lies. As Ann proves, the Left never wins on points, only on intimidation and personal destruction -- the very tactics they accused McCarthy of employing. Through reams of former Soviet intelligence officers and American sources, the truth is visible for all with the courage to see just how dangerous and near the Communist infiltration threat in America was. Ann has done journeyman's work in distilling this information to expose the malfeasance of liberal/democrat congressmen and administration officials who were willfully ignorant or complicit during this era of great threat to the Republic. Of course, Ann has again opened herself up to incur the most vile and contemptible assaults on her personage in the release of this book, just as she did with her excellent release of Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right. The Left cannot win in the arena of ideas, so they will attack with lies, innuendo, and distortions. Ann knows this better than anyone, and she has strong shoulders to handle it.

Thank you, Ann, for yet another fearless treatise that exposes the bilge promulgated by the axis of liberal journalism, academia, and governmental types. Because of your efforts, more Americans are becoming aware of the decades-long snow job liberalism has tried to force us to accept.

Summary: This book hits the mark!
Review: I bought the audio version of this book on CD.
This book is excellent for a thousand reasons!

But I like it best for one BIG reason!
This book has the best explanation I have ever heard for the exact method in which President Reagan pushed the Soviet Union over the edge and brought down the great "Evil Empire" with his Star Wars gambit.
I was never a strong Reagan supporter but now I honor this man for both his vision and his perseverance.
And, of course, it is scary to know how many spies and anti-American "American" dupes were actually in our own government!
Is the Democratic Party lost?
Yes, and it has been completely taken over by scoundrels, "Slick Willies," and their imperial self serving women like Hillary and Jackson-Lee and others who still cling what the "Party of the People" once was.
Well, it is no more.
Now it appears to be collection of far left radicals, con-artists, and freaks that wish to be included in the mainstream with all their perversions intact.
Now wonder the communists thought they could win.
Funny, with all the name calling no one has come forward with any significant factual rebuttal of the "Coultergeist!"
(I really like that name given to her! It should strike fear into liberal hearts - if they have one.)
Buy this book and read it or buy the CDs and listen.
Ann Coulter's delivery is excellent. Her voice is sharp, never tiring, and easily understood. Albeit, she does seem to hardly ever take a breath! It is almost like she waiting for an opposing opinion on Crossfire or something other pundit's program.
I would like to know how she accumulated and researched all the information in this book. Maybe she will write a "The Making of Treason" book

Summary: Talentless: Literary Treachery
Review: The first few pages mark some of the worst prose (and yes, if you use even Philosophy 101 deductive reasoning, you find almost all of Ann Coulters arguments to be fallacious, therefore this cannot be non-fiction) that has managed to find its way to a bookshelf. She begins by screaming "Patriotism!" from every mountain top, trying to paint America as a land that is about to break apart from our lack of Patriotism. I, am not a Democrat, and certainly not a Republican, and am disgusted with America. Why should we be required to believe that our country is great when we've killed MIILLIONS of foreign citizens for reasons ranging from War to Economic Sanctions? I checked this book out from the library and couldn't finish it, so take that in account when reading this review. I will try again, one day soon, when I've had less to eat and have taken some Dramamine so I won't vomit.

Don't waste your money on this author. Want to know the real state of the United States? Think liberals are crazy terrorist-lovers? Read Michael Moore's "Downsize This" and see what true liberals really think.

Summary: Coulter's "Big Lies" exposed
Review: There are so many lies, half-truths, distortions, misconceptions, and flat-out bizarre statements in Coulter's book that a mere 1000-word Amazon review cannot encompass them all. Rather than attempting to summarize them myself, I will defer to my betters and suggest that Coulter fans read two recent on-line articles available at Salon.com (get the day pass), Charles Taylor's "When Right-Wing Fembots Attack," and Joe Conason's review of _Treason_. Then surf over to Spinsanity.com and check out Brendan Nyhan's review of the book, which he characterizes as "a new low in America's political debate" and "blatantly irrational" (he explains why, too, in copious and fact-speckled detail). None of 'em like Miss Coulter's book much, all of 'em point out her frequent lies, half-truths, etc., and all of 'em back up their criticism with actual, checkable facts.

Speaking of Joe Conason, the estimable author of 'Big Lies," he was scheduled to appear with Miss Coulter on CNBC's "Kudlow & Cramer" on August 20, but she cancelled at the last minute. Want to know why? Read Conason's "Big Lies." She apparently did.

Summary: Not an acurate portrail of the US
Review: This book had no real thought placed into it. I seemed to me that Ann Coulter took one idea and expanded it over the whole book. Normally that would not be a problem, but her idea was completely based on her feelings toward the left. It was a book of slander and hate.

Often times the evidence that she had used was slanted to make it seem to the reader that it was well researched when in fact it was research that was taken and bent to her means.

Take McCarthy for an example. By todays standards what he did was wrong. Both the right and left stand by this. She on the other hand tries to take that period of US history and glorify it.

We live in a system where books like this can come out. Both the right and the left have their Ann Coulter's. That is what makes this country great, but if you are looking for some good hard evidence or some good research look some place else. For a funny look at history read the preview that is posted on this page. Whatever you do do not by this book to learn anything
