Rating: Summary: The Left Exposed Review: Ann Coulter is awesome. She gives a very convincing argument of the failings of the left. The book is a wealth of information if you need ammunition to put down those annoying liberals that you run into at the battlefields of middle america known as the cocktail party. Coulter outlines the history of the left in this country, and does it with a journalistic flair and humor that is very entertaining yet very powerful. Take that Michael Moore! This is the lefts worst nightmare, a very well reseached fact filled analysis of a failed political movement. Don't miss this entertaining and insightful book.
Rating: Summary: I was expecting more Review: Buying a book thats been in the top ten doesn't mean it will be a good read. The book seemed a mishmash of hatred for liberals and stretched facts. I looked up a few of her endnotes, and she was either wrong, or misconstrued the facts. I can see now why her detractors call her "shrill and unstable".
Rating: Summary: Treason: Liberal Treachery From the Cold War to the War On T Review: This was my first Ann Coulter book. I agree that it was somewhat repetative in the beginning but overall the information provided made me sit up and take notice. The data that she gives in "Treason" validates what I have suspected about our "right slanted" government for a long time. The book casts stones where stones should have been cast years ago. It is a wake-up call that should be required reading in history classes to give the truth about the communist influence on our political system. The most chilling reference in the book was the remark made by Kruschev about our grandchildren. It is chilling because we are rapidly becoming a Godless nation. A similarity may be seen between the United States in 2003 and Communist Russia in the early part of the 20th century. We need to heed the warnings of this book because we have been sold a a pack of lies by our liberals (Including the very liberal press)for at least 60 years.
Rating: Summary: Aah, Ann Coulter Review: Thank God for someone like Ann Coulter who exposes lying liberal apologists like Al Franken and all the leftist politicians and activists who have betrayed the United States over the years. I admire Ann's thorough research, intelligence, forthrightness and wit. She utterly annihilates the leftwing propaganda that is passed off as truth and "news" and sucked up by some of the nitwits that posted comments here. As liberals do, they attempt to malign Ann's character because they are stumped by the facts.
Rating: Summary: There she goes again... Review: In this book, Ms. Coulter has once again shown herself to be a clueless and crass political pundit; it's all over the top accusations and bashing of liberals and blaming them for all our problems...Anyway, it'd be interesting to know if she ever went to college, or rather spent her tuition money on plastic surgery.
Rating: Summary: Pot Luck? Review: I have always enjoyed Ann Coulter's columns, and I particularly starve for anything she writes when hard pressed to find an article. I was held captive by "Slander" and went right through it as I fed my appetite. "Treason" on the other hand was not nearly the same menu. While it was written with the same passion as Ms. Coulter always expresses in anything she communicates, I found myself tiring of the repetitiveness of conclusions, particularly in the first half of the book. Due to the author's thorough investigation of her subject matter,as well as her wit, it did hold my interest enough to finish the entire book. In short, I feel as if I was given good meals, but had to eat too many leftovers afterward.
Rating: Summary: So much for historically accurate¿. Review: .If conservatives truly look to someone like Ann Coulter to be a leader in espousing their positions, then conservatism is worse off than I thought it was. For those who actually believe that Ann Coulter's Treason is a factual accounting of the McCarthy era, think again. One of the main sources that Ann footnotes is Ron Radosh. He is considered one of the most reputable scholars who have studied the McCarthy era in great detail. He is apparently appalled at Ms. Coulter's writings. This is what he had to say: "I am furious and upset about her book. I am reading it - she uses my stuff, Harvey Klehr and John Haynes, Allen Weinstein etc. to distort what we actually say and to make ludicrous and historically incorrect arguments...." I'll give it two stars for the amusement factor. .
Rating: Summary: Can She Be Believed? Review: She is clever and good at insulting people. But the thing is, given the fact that she distorted and lied her way through her last book, how can any of her claims in this book be believed? Furthermore, it seems to me that a woman who contributed nothing to her country but secondhand smoke and empty chardonnay bottles really has no place to insult anyone's patriotism. It is amusing reading - sort of like watching a 6 year old work itself up into a tantrum. So on that level 2 stars.
Rating: Summary: Interesting read for both left & right Review: I decided to read this book after reading Al Franken's "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right." He sites a lot of inconsistencies in Ms. Coulter's prior book, Slander, & I wanted to check this one out for myself. This is a good read for those that really want to understand just how twisted the right has become. Get a used copy though, not worth the list price.
Rating: Summary: Ann does it again!!! Great book, great info Review: Intersting book that presents a different view. Looked up many facts to verify accuracy. I was shocked. It seems the liberal/democratic/socalist smear machine was around longer that I though... What amazes me is the "1-Star" reviews, all from obvious liberals/democrats. Get a clue... Ann is not writing to appeal to you!!! If all of you want to continue to spend money buying books you think are so horrible...save your cash and send it to me :-) You waste you time typing drivel that no one who wants to buy her book will listen to anyway. Do you just like to hear yourselves talk?!? Either that or give and objective review. Keep you vile spew out of a book review and save it for talk radio...oh I forgot you can't seem to crack into that yet :-) If you are a consevative and like to lear new information and facts/views for use in arguing with liberals I think this is a good one.
