Review: It looks like tomas is trying to demonstrate how well conservatives read! He attempts to shred a "liberal review" by misattributing it to "Blake from LA" who actually wrote a glowing five star review of this book! My guess is that he was really trying to attack another review, possibly written by "A reader from Tacoma". With respect to this book: Ann is very careful in avoiding misguided attacks on fellow conservatives.

Summary: Read The Book, Whiners... Read It!
Review: - I wasn't going to comment on this book, but some of the reviews are so ludicrous..... Especially Blake from LA: he has lots of quotes of Ann, all out of context (a favorite device of the Liberal Hate Machine), but NOT ONE from the book! Oh, except the one he lifted from Matt Drudge. Right, Blake. Your "book review" has alot of credibility, especially when you DON'T READ THE BOOK. Listen - Ann is bright, witty, attractive, successful, and she sees through all the left-wing dissembling in America. That's why liberals hate her. After all, they want everyone to think that conservatives are stupid white men.... Ann busts their stereotype, and they can't stand it. I've read this book. It's mostly about McCarthy and the total charactar-smearing done on him by the left. Ann has facts here that I never knew, because previous to reading TREASON, the only information I had on McCarthy came from frustrated, history-re-writing liberals. It was quite an eye-opening experience. Ann takes this history lesson and shows how the same character-assassination is going on NOW, and it's being perpetrated by - surprise! - liberals! And, to top it off, the book is VERY funny! Listen - I don't see you clowns criticizing Al Franken when he spews his lying idiocy in the name of humor. You can dish it out, but you obviously can't take it, hm? All these posts just prove something I've been saying for 15 years - liberals are the ones who invented the "politics of personal destruction" (despite what Hillary says), and they used it in full force on McCarthy. Ann proves it in this book, with LOTS of footnotes to back up her assertions. READ IT - you might actually learn something (if you can lay aside your vitriol for a moment). Oh, and Blake, get your history right: Clinton WAS impeached by the House of Representatives. Impeached means that the House finds enough evidence to request a trial in the Senate. It's like a Grand Jury. You need to do some reading on civics as well, bro'. -

Review: Coulter's plan is simple: get rich by selling the same book over and over again. Poorly written. Even the most dull-witted reader will find little compelling here, much less well argued.

Summary: Maybe she's a liberal mole?
Review: Personally, I have fairly conservative views, but I believe I have come by them honestly. This book makes such a mockery of conservative viewpoints that I can only imagine that Ann is really a liberal attempting to reduce well thought out perspectives into strawman arguments that her fellow liberals can easily knock down. Really, she seems to smart to believe anything that she writes. How could any person who knows anything about history rationally claim that Senator Joe McCarthy was a hero? I am not naive enough to believe that everyone who professes conservative views is good, or that everyone that professes liberal views is bad or dangerous. I also don't believe that Ann is naive enough to believe either of these. I have, however, been attacked for my own views based on the stupid justifications for similar views set up in Ann's book. This book, and other writings have made conservatism look stupid. I am not ashamed to be conservative, but I am embarrased by Ann's emotional and irrational explanations for what is actually very solid conservative thought. I would not advise conservatives to line the pockets of some liberal cause by purchasing this book, but I would advise them to read it so they can get some idea of why their liberal friends consider conservative views to be poorly thought out and childishly naive.

Full of bias. As an avid reader, I try to read all sides, left, right, independent, middle, everything. This was a waste of time, after the 5th chapter, could not stand it. Good to see a lot of other readers feel the same way. Wouldn't even put it in my yard sale!

Summary: Tough Time to be a Conservative
Review: Thanks to the likes of Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter, Savage, and the other conservative infotainers, it's hard not to laugh when someone professes to be a "conservative". Often, they will disassociate themselves from their ilk shortly after stating their political orientation. (I'm a conservative, but I don't listen to Limbaugh - or, I'm a conservative but I can't stand Hannity; or I think that Couter chick is nuts...) Thanks to these infotainers, to profess to being "conservative" grows increasingly synonymous to proclaiming yourself to be an imbecile - really! These high profile bafoons are doing a number on the credibility of the republican party. If there is a left-wing media conspiracy, they're surely a part of it. I am thankful they are on the other side. (Moore? Franken? No comparison both in terms of degree or exposure...)

It is sad that such a dried up snake skin of a "woman" has found an audience numb and dumb enough to suck up her venomous, ignorant spewings. Ann Coulter is a painful and bloody cancer on America. She is empty, shallow, stupid and has only one goal in life...to line her saggy crone pockets with the money of the stupid and brain dead. Hell is waiting for you with open arms Ann.
