Rating: Summary: Lies! Worst form of Propaganda for Bush ever! Review: This is the worst book I have ever read. It is filled with nothing but lies. Ann is a nut and need psychiatric care. People, please, let's get real. There is no treason amoung liberals. There are just questions. Last time I checked this is a free country and everyone has the right to agree or disagree with President Bush. Just because I disagree with Bush, doesn't make me a traitor. The Fox News Network has an aganda. They want Bush reelected. Make sure you get the facts before you believe anything that Fox says. They make up lies everyday and not one of them is against Bush or rebulicans. Wake up America and vote Clark in 2004!
Rating: Summary: Republican Traitors Review: The biggest piece of political propoganda that I have ever seen. What I really love is that as I am reading this I am glancing up at CNN reporting that the Bush administration has exposed a CIA operative. Whatever Ann says, her acusations of the Democratic party aren't treason. Exposing a CIA operative is. Just hope that Bush is also put through an impeachment hearing over this (The *true* definition of "High Crimes and Misdemeanors")
Rating: Summary: I challenge you liberals to prove one lie from Ann Coulter Review: I just finished reading Al Franken's latest moronic diatribe against conservatives. Now, I'm just finishing Ann Coulter's newest book, Treason. I admit that the title and even the accusation of "treason" can be a bit harsh, but the facts are well documented. I researched about a third of them myself! Liberals hate Coulter and all conservatives, but I have yet to read a single volume or column by anyone on the left that can prove any of the charges of "lying." Not so for Franken's mentally disturbed rant in print. I see libs challenging any conservative to refute his "facts." Okay, I take that challenge! I'm writing a book to refute him now. It's not even a real challenge to refute his garbage. From what I've seen, most (but not all) libs can't reason with anything resembling logic. Their diatribes are often full of non-sequiturs, illogic, ad hominem arguments, and distortions of easily checked "facts." Just today, I cut out an article from the newspaper validating what Ann Coulter charges in this volume! Maybe the charge, "treason" isn't really as harsh as I thought.
Rating: Summary: have you any shame? Review: Ann Coulter usually "plays loose" with the fact on her writing. However It's inconcievable that even she would defend Joe McCarthy and claim all those he destroyed were actually communist spies bent on destroying America. She fails to mention that one of the "traitors" who was amongst the first to attack Sen McCarthy was Senator Prescott Bush. Also her feigned tired love for "the real America" (ie the middle and lower income midwest) comes off as a bit phony from someone who grew up in Waspy elite Greenwich CT and then spends her adult life in sinful elite Georgetown, NYC and now Miami. Also I question how well her book is REALLY selling. Even the NY Times bestseller list offered the disclaimer that there were an unusual amount of books being sold by the case. An old trick to inflate sales is buying books by the case and then returning them. Bestseller lists track books leaving stores but don't look at those returned without even being read. Ron Hubbard used this trick to make it seem that Dianetics was a bestseller even though the number of people who bought the book and kept it was low.
Rating: Summary: WHAT DO LIBERALS AND COCKROACHES HAVE IN COMMON? Review: Just like cockroaches liberals scurry under the refrigerator whenever the light of truth is shown on them. They prefer the darkness of deception and curse the light as they curse Ann Coulter for shining it on them. Please note this liberals, I am buying alot of copies of this book for my college friends and it has had a powerfull impact on many, sort of like a size 11 boot has on a roach.
Rating: Summary: Ann should learn to read before she writes Review: I bought this book thinking that I would finally read something intelligent on this topic from the conservative perspective. Unfortunately, Ann seems to have decided that it's easier to simply make up a lot of so-called "facts" rather than taking the time and energy to actually research what are fairly easily obtainable historical data. Shame on her. She's giving us conservatives a bad name.
Rating: Summary: "TREASON" IS TRUE Review: As a 67-year old political historian I have lived through the period Ann Coulter describes. And yes, she is "right on" when she discusses the American Liberals support of the Nazi-Russian Pact, they only supported war against Germany and the Nazis when their good friends the Communists were in danger. They cared nothing then and care nothing now about the Jews. It is wonderful that Coulter refreshes Americans about the Liberal distortion and persecution of Whittaker Chambers and Senator Joseph McCarthy and its continuing denial of Soviet spy Alger Hiss' treason and Henry Wallace's support of Communism. The Liberals as a rule hate Catholics and Evangelicals, despise morality and constantly promote abortion and pornography in the guise of civil rights. They laugh at Muslim terrorism when they even admit it flourishes and is a real and present danger to America. Time after time Ann Coulter exposes the outright lies and cover-ups of the "New York Times." She is direct, witty, informed and succinct. She raises immense criticism and hatred because she tells the truth, and lies and liars hate to be exposed to the light.
Rating: Summary: Finally, An Accurate History... Review: It is clearly refreshing to have Ann Coulter enlighten us with the facts of history during this time period. Thank you, Ann, for taking the time to research this topic and rewriting history for us - we now have the truth.
Rating: Summary: Pure Bull.... Review: Since Slander was exposed as just one big pack of lies put into a book and Republicans bought it, am I suprised Coulter is doing the same thing with this book? No. As in Slander, this book is full of lies and not one shread of truth in it. I'm sure Republicans will buy it thinking this makes them look smarter but when you start reading this book and believe it, you just look like a fool...save your money.
Rating: Summary: Don't Co-Enable Her Review: Coulter obviously makes a pretty good living making up lies and spouting them on TV. But although it may be good for Ann (and her publisher, and the ratings of her friends at Fox), turning political discourse into mud wrestling isn't good for the rest of us. She may be fun to read in a rubbernecking-at-a-freeway-pileup sort of way, but don't co-enable this shameless exhibitionist or reward her by spending money on her garbage. Think for yourself.
