Summary: Important and extremely informative
Review: Finally someone recognizes the shameful role liberals and left generally played in the last century! I hope to see more similar books to expose leftist treachery.

Summary: Ho hum, a bunch of right wingers are jealous of liberals....
Review: The reviews from right wingers are really too laughable. Are their lives so empty that they need to blame liberals for all their problems? Is it our fault we are tolerant and well-rounded individuals? Is it our fault we don't go around calling our OWN mothers, wives, sisters and daughters, "feminazis" and other vile names? That we don't blame minorities for our OWN failures?
That we CARE about our childrens' futures and don't want to saddle them with another Reaganesque DEBT?

A question for all those particularly rabid right wingers, did Reagan's "tax break" ever trickle down to you? Why do you support an administration that is picking your families' pockets clean? Do you enjoy being lied to?
Maybe it's time to take some personal responsibility and start to see things as they REALLY are.

Summary: The Liberal Scourge
Review: Hey, Ann Coulter lovers! There's only one way to stop the liberal scourge. Let's start rounding them up and forcing them into camps. Liberals are hiding anywhere. They could be teaching your sons and daughters. They could be your next door neighbors. They could be your insurance salesmen, you postmen, your pizza delivery drivers, your doctors, your lawyers your shrinks. Millions and millions of liberals in this country! We've got to stop them now before it's too late. The liberal enemy must be eradicated. If you liked Ann Coulter's book there's another book out there you might really enjoy. It's called Mein Kampf. And it has a solution for The Liberal Problem.

Summary: Distortion and Propaganda
Review: With "Treason," Ann Coulter, a conservative, set out to write a book that attacks and lambasts liberals. She is an author who despises liberals, is not a liberal herself, and writes a book with a specific agenda of proving liberals' treasonous qualities. For this reason alone, "Treason" can not be read as a work of "true" or unbiased journalism. Additionally, in literally hundreds of instances throughout the book, the author's own personal opinions come out in ways that are unsubstantiated, exaggerated, and specious. In "Treason", Ann Coulter will present a string of purported historical facts, and then promptly follow them with a blanket statement about "all liberals" that those facts simply do not support. Statements such as "Liberals Lie," "Leftists Monkeys think...", et cetera. At those points, the author is stating a distortion, and because she is saying it after a long series of facts, an uneducated reader might take it to be a fact, when it is merely the author's unsubstantiated opinion. This mixture of fact and distortion with the intention to persuade is the actual, literary definition of propaganda. For this reason, it is frightening that "Treason" is a bestseller- not because the book is anti-liberal, but because the methods the author employs are such pure and unapologetic propaganda.
All caring Americans, and particularly "liberals" should read this book to understand how deep the distortion of the far right wing really runs. The fact that "Treason" is a bestseller, and has made this author a millionaire should give all Americans pause that propaganda rides again as a dangerous and hate-filled threat.

Summary: Ann, you changed my life!
Review: I am EXTREMELY sorry doubting you. It's time America WOKE UP and the Left wing nutcases start seeing their perverted views on The good old USA! There is a reason why The republican Party is called the GOP, it is GRAND! I used to be a bleeding heart liberal but something moved me and kept pursuading me to open up these books (God, perhaps?) and so I did. Wow, was I shocked! I just kept going along with my familie's liberal viewpoints, not even looking at the other side and upon instinct "bashing" them. Thank you Ms Coulter and I appreciate your work and Conservative activism. Thank you also to Mr. Santorum for excersizing your right to free speech!

Summary: She sure is blunt, ain't she?
Review: Ann Coulter arouses real passion in her readers, and especially in her non-readers (most of the 1-star reviewers). When someone says something you don't want to hear, you tend to find it offensive. When someone presents facts that are downright embarrassing, you lash out and claim they are lying. Well, Coulter says some disturbing things about whose side Democrats have tended to be on when the United States was involved in confrontations with our enemies. It seems that they all too often give the impression that they blame America first, giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Jane Fonda's infamous trip to Hanoi during the Vietnam War comes to mind. (Vietnam was another war a Democrat President was afraid to win). Some people would call her traitor. Democrats would say she was just exercising her freedom of expression and that Republicans and Vietnam Veterans should just be tolerant. If a Democrat criticizes a Republican's views, it is free speech. If a Republican criticizes a Democrat's, it is intolerance and censorship. Right, Libs? Nothing wrong with a double standard as long as it works to your advantage. Our liberal friends don't like the "accusatory tone" that Coulter uses in her books. Has anyone heard one of Teddy Kennedy's diatribes against GW lately? Ah, but Teddy speaks the truth, and Coulter lies. Right, liberals? It is inconvenient that Coulter backs up everything she says with documented facts. Joseph McCarthy has been proven right beyond dispute by Soviet sources themselves. The only thing he was wrong about was the extent of the Communist infiltration into this country--he underestimated it. Even FDR had Commies in his administration. When they were revealed to Roosevelt, he tended to promote them!! Truman, too. Ain't that strange?? Coulter does back up everything she says with documented facts. Liberal reviewers cry foul but can't disprove a single thing she says. If we are to believe the current dwarfs running for the Democrat nomination for President, Bush is an evil war monger. How dare him retaliate against the Arab murderers who declared war on us on 9/11/01? Doesn't he know that fighting back will make them mad at us? Why, he should have done what Gore or Clinton would have done--maybe lob a few missiles where Osama bin Laden isn't, declare that the men who attacked us with those four planes were all dead, anyway, and then declare the case closed. I feel your pain, but let's get on with trivialities as usual. Why, all we have to do is show them how loving and tolerant and understanding we are and they will leave us alone. Appeasement is always better than taking risks by confronting our enemies." George Bush is something that liberal "leaders" and journalists are not--a man with courage who chose to go after the terrorists where they were, in Afghanistan and Iraq and defeat them there. The war is not over yet and other enemies will have to be confronted. He believed rightly that it is better to go on the offensive in Afghanistan and Iraq than to have to hold them off in New York or Washington. He has been an incredibly successful President. He did exactly the right thing in both cases. He is turning Iraq into an American ally in the middle of the Muslim world. He will show the Muslim world that a Democratic Muslim state is possible and preferable to brutal Muslim dictatorships. He is giving Iraqis freedom and preserving our own. And Democrats like Ted Kennedy slander and libel him everyday for doing it. To them, anything less than instant success by a Republican President is failure. Actually, President Bush has come as close to instant success as could possibly be. He understands that freedom is not free. We are in a necessary war and we are suffering casualties. America blood is buying freedom for us all. It has always been that way. Too many Democrats apparently don't quite understand that. It seems to me that Democrats are made up of two kinds of people, the deceivers and the deceived. The deceivers know that there are a lot of uninformed and uneducated people out there who can be deceived by their deliberate lies and they have worked over time to do it. They put the welfare of their party well above the security of their nation. They want power so they can turn this country into an amoral, atheistic, socialist state where everybody is dominated by Democrats in Washington. The deceived aren't smart enough to figure out what they are up to. By the time they do, it will probably be too late. I will say this flat out: the greatest danger to the United States, the kind of country that my Father and his generation fought for in WWII, and countless others have fought for since, is not Muslim terrorists. It is the anti-American agenda that is being espoused by the liberal deceivers who dominate the Democratic Party and most of the media. That is what I think Ann Coulter is saying in this book. We have been warned. We can ignore the warning at our peril. I could care less how many "no" votes I get for this review, just as Coulter could care less how many one star votes she gets from all the deceived liberals who cast them here. The truth has to be told. It is a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.

Summary: Customers Who Bought This Book Also Bought....
Review: If all the liberals who are writing the negative reviews of this book had actually bought and read the book, then the books listed under "Customers Who Bought This Book Also Bought" would list liberal books such as Al Franken's. The fact that the books listed are by conservative authors just goes to show that the liberals are responding without actually reading the book.

Summary: A dissapointed conservative.
Review: I'm a conservative who is very annoyed at some of the commentary by certain conservative writers and TV and radio show hosts. Take this book for instance. The title is quite disturbing. We live in a country that prides itself on the ability of the public and other political parties to openly express points of view that do not conform with those of the government. I sure wouldn't want to live here if we didn't have that. I'm also really annoyed when I see comments like "liberals hate America". My mother is quite liberal. So therefore, my mother must be a traitor who hates America. Give me a break. I assure you - she loves this country as much as anyone I know, left or right. It's also disappointing that some of the comments in the book have been proven to be inaccurate by other writers. As a conservative I find this all disturbing and unnecessary. We don't need to resort to these sort of tactics to take on liberals or anyone else. When you belittle others, you belittle yourself. Please, Ms. Coulter and other conservative writers: tone it down. Be reasonable and accurate in your comments. You're making us look like intolerant, nasty, ignorant, morons.

Summary: Truth is truth, or rather, Is is is. (For X-pres. Clinton)
Review: This is a fantastic book. If you've ever read "Animal Farm" and if you will look at things without rose colored glasses, this book is so refreshing. Truth! You can see how the America haters, and truth-haters have tried to twist our perceptions. Ms. Coulter straightend out our vision. Thanks Ann. The wicked take the truth as hard. All those who gave this one star have an agenda. See thru it. But and read this truthfull book.
