Summary: Liberal cry-babies will hate this book
Review: I just finished the book and it is better than I expected. I highly recommend it.
The last year the communists ran a presidential candidate was 1948. Where did all the communists go? They went to the Democrat party, of course. In the last half of the twentieth century, the Democrats passed into law every single party platform that the communist party proposed from the first half of the twentieth century. The book is a mini history book, which corrects much of the modern mythology of the twentieth century. Liberals will hate it because it presents direct evidence that destroys their dogmatic beliefs.
Perhaps if a liberal has an open mind and chooses to do his or her own reasearch, they might find out that their dogmatic beliefs are wrong, but I haven't found any liberals that have open minds.

Summary: 1st Amendment
Review: The U.S. Constitution guarantees the freedom of speech and press, but does not protect you from people who would use those very rights to enslave you with their own of definition of freedom. Coulter is like any other pundit - AND WILL YOU believe her words without consulting other writers? How about a Spaniard named "Jose Ortega"? Go look it up... "REVOLT OF THE MASSES" - written in 1930. Among his prominent themes is how some people use discontent as a means to incite "mass thinking" that blames one quarter of the population for all troubles and problems. Read Coulter and THINK: Think about what she's saying here - that we (the People) shall be openly inclined toward conformity; a force that seeks the maintenance of the status quo by portraying liberal thinking as wrong minded and dangerous to our best interests. Is that a good thing? One thing that I will say in favor of Coulter and her publishers - they should be congratulated for their marketing expertise - the work is like a lit match dangling over a barrel of gasoline and is bound to result in a lot of sales. Read Coulter - I encourage it, but read other books and materials; and THINK before forming an opinion that you might regret later. And please remember that the U.S. Constitution is a precious document - but like any other, it can be easily destroyed.

Summary: A LIBERAL'S WORST NIGHTMARE
Review: Ann Coulter has returned, with yet another best seller. "TREASON: LIBERAL TREACHERY FROM THE COLD WAR TO THE WAR ON TERRORISM". I had just finished reading her predecessor the masterful "SLANDER: LIBERAL LIES ABOUT THE AMERICAN RIGHT" and had to have more. Coulter really shows how she is developing into a formitable foe to all liberals who think they are untouchable. She blasts lib's with both barrels, showing how President's Roosevelt and Truman, along with both administrations turned a blind eye to Soviet spies (Alger Hiss and fellow cohort's The Rosenburg's.} just to save face! Both Roosevelt and Truman were confronted wtih the obvious truth but needless to say they did nothing, not believing or caring that a highly appointed member of the Democratic party could be a Soviet spy. Thanks to Ms. Coulter, their utter falsity has been made public, and we learn that due to the incompetence of the Democratic party we lived under the threat of nuclear destruction for years. Thanks to the Rosenburgs Soviet Russia's President Stalin gained top secret info regarding the Manhattan Project and sumarily the U.S.S.R.'s eventual building of their own atom bomb, and the left had the audacity to claim President Reagan was leading the world into a nuclear war. Had it not been for the incompetence of the democrats, the U.S. would probably have been the only nation with nuclear weapons. but Roosevelt coudn't believe that Stalin "Uncle Joe, as Roosevelt called the communist butcher of 20 million", could or would be spying on the U.S. And, oh yes, Ms Coulter backs up her claims with actual evidence with footnotes and references. And finally--did you know that the democratic left still refuse to blame Hiss or the Rosenburgs even though they were found guilty and eventually sentenced to prison and death, just because they were democrats.
Ms. Coulter shows how we must never let the left run this country ever again. Had Gore won the election would he refer to Bin Laden as "Uncle Osama" as Roosevelt did. Thank God we may never find out. With loser's like Michael Moore we Americans can see just how far the left have taken us. They condem the U.S.'s policy on terrorism and believe we should treat the people who tried and are still trying to murder innocent Americans with dignitity. Michael Moore, Sean Penn, and the rest of the left who believe America was to blame for 9-11 should have lived under the Taliban or Saddam Hussein's regime. I promise they would see the United States a whole lot differently and would pray for the day we would free them.

Summary: Are you kidding me?
Review: Coulter ACTUALLY offers a defense of McCarthy?!?!?! A Defense of one of the most fascistic, nationalistic, idiotic and embarassing excuses for a political figure in American history? If you are at all a student of history, and if you have any ability to think fairly and reasonably, then you understand the ugliness and hysteria inherent in prosecuting people because of what you THINK they might believe. And that's exactly what McCarthy did - he went after "suspected Communists", ruined their lives, careers and reputations. Do a google search on Jenny Holzer's Blacklist - it's a work of art which decries the horrendous violations of the first ammendment that McCarthy and the House Unamerican Activities Comittee committed against hundreds of innocent people, who were exercising their God-given right to believe as they saw fit, just as you, and I, and everyone else does and ought to do. Coulter is no better than the rest of these pop-pulp-politic trash writers, on both the right and the left. Anyone who can take a box of ideology, like American liberalism or conservatism, and defend it with such uncritical rigor and vehemence does nothing but augment to the problem of political ignorance in America. Yeah, I'm talkin' to you, Coulter! Go take your "this is God's country" nationalism and shove it up your you know what. As for me, I know that I'm a human being first, and an American second. If you bought this book, you need to go back to college, and learn to be honest with both yourself and your fellow human being. The time is now, more than ever, to concede that we don't know when we don't, and to avoid seeking the corroboration of our own views, because they are our own views. Life ought to be an earnest search for truth, not an earnest search for confirmation of what one's been taught by Mommy and Daddy. This is the foundation upon which all liberal democracies are built: the foundation of decent, respectful, and loving moral agents, who are capable of thinking critically and making value judgements without having to be led by the hand by anyone who professes to hold the absolute truth, like Coulter does, in all of its totality and glory. People like Coulter and that other democratic idiot who writes all kinds of ridiculously one sided stuff about "conservatives" (Michael Moore is it)? ought to be exposed as the self-corroborating, "this is true because I want it to be" nonsense writers that they are. Want a real book on Politics? Read Karl Popper's The Open Society and its Enemies. Please, America, don't fill your heads with this kind of trash.

Summary: Crazy devil lady strikes again!
Review: Only she says nothing of real substance, just more ranting about anti-american liberals and their destructive agenda against freedom on Earth, etc etc. She's preying on the weak minds of the gullible conservatives out there and I'm not surprised she's found an audience. There are a lot of angry, bitter people who have not found their own voice in Ann but a voice that tempts their misguided love for America and their misunderstanding of what really goes on outside of their small town of 20,000.

Summary: Coulter's argument stands test of close scrutiny
Review: This is a great book! Ann takes on the myth that has be perpetrated to try to turn Macarthy into the most hated man in American history.
Many people have read over this book very closely to find errors. Al franken devotes an entire chapter of his latest rant fest to it. After all that close insepction no one has come up with any substantive errors. so what does that mean. It means Ann is right. Alger Hiss was a spy, the Rosenbergs (sp?) were spies and Joe Macarthy (sp?) was not an evil man. Do not let liberals slide on these points over a casula cocktail party discussion. The reason they hate Macarthy is that he was right about communists working in government. They were caught with their hand in the cookie jar and their response was to Slander him (the title of her last book) nad rewrite history in true Soviet style. Read this book and judge for yourself.
