Summary: same old liberal bashing
Review: What an awful book! I guess lack of logic and reasoning can not be compensated for by use of bombastic words!!!

Summary: Ann Coulter is Boring Me
Review: I used to be a Conservative, until people like Coulter hi-jacked the ideals of my Party. Now, all she whines about is how Liberals this and Democrats that, in the most vitriolic, offensive, in-your-face sentences she can manage.

I've just about had enough, I want my party back from the Coulters and Limbaughs and O'Reillys and Hannitys, who have made Conservatism mean a mad dog's Hate for every other way of thinking. The book offers precious little insight, scholarship, supported claims, or new ideas.

It's just a dumb rehash of recent history, with a good measure of vicious bombast to excite the basest instincts in her audience. And the claim that McCarthy was right borders on the criminally stupid!

This book is a waste of money, unless you love to get angry and have a real need to feel betrayed and victimized.

Summary: Nothing like the truth to destroy the liberal agenda!
Review: Forget all the revisionistic tripe that's been crammed down our throats that Joe McCarthy was this evil fire-breathing dragon; I mean, it's not as if we haven't heard this liberal mantra a thousand times before! Ann Coulter's "Treason" uncovers the truth, and proves not only that McCarthy was patriotic in his "witch hunts," but that the State Department under FDR and Harry Truman was crawling with communist spies under orders from Stalin himself. When a high-ranking official in the State Department brought evidence of Alger Hiss' ties to the Soviet Union to FDR, the crippled dictator-wannabe told the man to go f--- himself. Let's not forget that FDR referred to Stalin as "Uncle Joe," while we're at it.

Still think liberals love the USA? This book proves otherwise. In short, this book provides the greatest education money can buy on one of America's most critical periods of history (the early Cold War), and how the liberals tried to undermine us from within. Anyone who won't acknowledge the validity of this THOROUGHLY researched magnum opus has their head in the sand.

Oh, and about the 'Hollywood Ten' that got blacklisted? They were also taking orders from Stalin. It's all in the book. Buy it today; those are Sarge's orders!

Summary: "Manchurian Candidate" Redux
Review: Surprise! Ann Coulter is making great efforts to bring down the right wing in this country - just as the Angela Lansbury character was planning in the film version of "The Manchurian Candidate."

Lansbury's 50's character was a Soviet communist agent in the guise of a U.S. right wing zealot, working to create a mainstream backlash that would eventually destroy the right (and the country) - and she's Coulter's model!

Coulter is smarter than 90% of her audience - they don't get it. For the great unwashed, her diatribes are grist for the mill; for a few others, it's great satire.

But some people are on to her, and now understand her doublethink paradigm. She's become too obvious! Only a dyed-in-the-wool subversive would so slavishly defend Joe McCarthy in this day and age.

With "Treason", I think her effectiveness as an enemy agent has reached the point of diminishing returns.

Her true color is showing -- and it's red as a rose.

Summary: Treason
Review: As interesting as this book is, the reactions of the left to the book are even more interesting. What leftists with nothing more to do listed Mien Kampf as also reccommended? This is the exact sort of misinformation program talked about in Treason. You may dismiss Coulter as a dumb blond in show business but what do you do with Whittaker Chambers and his book "Witness"?
When Chambers became a Christian and left the Communist Party he told his wife that he was going over to the losing side. Rejoice liberals! In spite of a few voices like Coulters you are winning. Soon we will be in the worker's paradise you have plotted and planned for all these years. You will richly deserve what comes next.

Summary: Double Standard
Review: Ann Coulter is an anti-Muslim and an anti-Arab.
If she tried to publish an anti-semitic book it would never jive. And rightfully so of course. Any type of ignorant, blatant hatred is stupid.

Here is her brilliant "defining" quote referring to Arabs:

"we should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."

Terrorists do NOT define what Islam is. Nor do the more than one billion Muslims around the world who are not terrorists. The book was closed on what Islam is the day that Mohammad died. Regardless of what you believe, the truth of the matter is that Mohammad was a human being who had a lot of good qualities. He was pro-women before anyone was pro-women, he accepted peoples rights to freedom of religion when there was no such thing and always taught Muslims to respect Jews and Christians explicitly. These are irrefutable facts.

If some people who today call themselves Muslims do not live this way, don't blame it on Islam.

Review: this piece of dong is not fit to wipe my back end. Full of lies. I would not burn this book to start a fire to cook food for my starving children for fear of the poison that would burn off of the pages!

Summary: If you read only one book this summer, read this one.
Review: Ann Coulter is the sexiest conservative on Earth, and not just because of her brilliant mind. Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism, her latest endeavor, could only be made better if she inserted a section of pictures of herself (hint, hint). But, alas, it should be mandatory reading regardless.

Ann has shown in her last two books her impressive ability to wrap her mind around the hypocrisy and disingenuity of the Liberal Left, exposing them to the lightning of her terrible, swift mind. True, Liberals make a prima facie case against themselves on a daily basis, but it is easy to be overcome by the constant droning of their propaganda, and one can find it easy to simply succumb to the banter as one would become accustomed to white noise. But Ann has a talent for pointing out the audacity and arrogant disinformation, and when she does so she sticks the collective Liberal puppy's nose to the you-know-what that they have left around our house.

Treason is a study of the Left's consistent and ongoing guerrilla war against America, which they primarily fight with weapons of mass disinformation in our universities and media. Anyone who has had to endure a political science professor pontificate on the virtues of Bill Clinton and communitarianism can relate immediately. But the mythical version of the Senator Joseph McCarthy as a boogieman is their favorite vehicle of historical distortion. Ann may not be firing the first shot back in defense of this honorable man, but she is firing one that they will certainly feel.

Beginning with the first chapter, Ann describes and documents the love affair of Liberals and the Democrat Party with America's enemies. She reveals how their counsel on self defense against dangerous foes to our freedom has consistently been that of surrender. Many of us have struggled many times with the determination of which character flaws produce such inane concepts as a defeat of America's military power by Saddam Hussein. Ann settles the question for us by stating what all of us who have argued with Liberals or watched them banter on TV have thought at least once: "They (Liberals) are either traitors or idiots, and on the matter of America's self-preservation, the difference is irrelevant."

By exposing Communist infiltration in the highest reaches of American government and culture, McCarthy exposed the Liberal agenda itself. For this cardinal sin against the Left, his name has been built into and institution of hatred and propaganda. "McCarthyism" has become the catch-all and first resort to deflect the righteous indignation of patriotic Americans when Liberals make ridiculous and idiotic statements. This has become so reflexive a quality of Liberals that even when Ann appeared last week on ABC's The View as a guest co-host, the charge of "McCarthyism" was leveled on people who "wrap themselves in the flag" as opposed to being patriotic (Meredith Viera: "That's what some Liberals are against"; Joy Behar: "...they cover up their evil with a flag, and that is a sin."), all while discussing a book exposing the fraud of "McCarthyism". Good job, girls.

The "Red Scare" that we are taught about in our liberal public schools and colleges was, in fact, a true threat to the existence of our country. This is already known as fact outside of our hallowed halls of learning, and we don't need another book to prove it. Treason is not about exposing this fact, but rather it exposes how we are told to believe otherwise. Ann deftly presents the facts side by side with the contextual statements of the Left in a way that there can be no mistake about the motives at play. As she did in Slander, Ms. Coulter uses a simple yet devastating tactic to breath the light of truth on the Liberal agenda: By their own works ye shall know them.

As with Ann's previous work, Treason leaves the reader wanting more the way a newborn craves air. I have a feeling that she is just getting started. And maybe, just maybe, her next book will have pictures, too.

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: I am a senior citizen and I was there, I saw what happened in the hearings - first hand. I even knew some of the principals involved. And I can say, without question, Sen. Joseph McCarthy was hated and reviled for no reason other than the fact that he dug into the creeping, insidious totalitarian/Communist assault on our country.

The revisionists have hated and dogged him all the way to his grave, and I hoped this day would come.... That someone would document the FACTS and right the wrongs committed against him by left-wing ideologues with their perverted agenda to destroy his name and turn him into the butt of barroom jokes.

Ann Coulter did her homework. I hope people will read her book with an open mind and double check her facts against documented historical records. If they do, they'll be shocked at how many so-called "history" writers have smeared an honest American and probably drove him to an early death.

OPEN YOUR EYES, AMERICA! DARE TO READ IT AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELVES.

Summary: Where, exactly is she wrong?
Review: This was a quick read for me. An eye opener, since I had been led to believe that McCarthy was satan incarnate. All the negative criticism toward this book can be typified as name calling, "drivel", "garbage", without any logical or coherent argument. Where exactly is Ann wrong? What facts are in error? What approach has been twisted to give it that "evil conservative slant"? This negative criticism, in fact, validates the premise of the book.
