Rating: Summary: Absolute Bile Review: Worthless, meaningless nonsense...hatred as a commodity, pushed so far that it is actually welcome as a pointed example of the dangerous extremists who are steering the course of this country...thanks Ann, keep it up - perhaps a few more honest conservatives will be shocked awake when they see shills like her embraced by the right and realize that this contemptible drivel represents the people speaking for their party...
Rating: Summary: What a mess Review: Coulter's book will only convince those who are already convinced of her venomous thesis and will repel anyone who thinks for themselves. I'm about a third of the way through and am anxious to see if she can keep up the average of a lie, a distortion, or a fabrication on every single page. Utter garbage intended only for the paranoid and deluded.
Rating: Summary: Leggy Right-winger Review: I think it's cute the way the GOP selectively uses affirmative action even within its own cabal. If you're black or a woman, you can expect to be raised above the white male shoulders as an example of your kind - regardless of your actual competency or intelligence. If it weren't for the feminists that she so loudly screeches about, she'd be stuck writing grocery lists for her hubby instead. Christ, married to Ann Coulter. Does it get any scarier?
Rating: Summary: Imagine There Was No Ann Coulter Review: A regrettably venomous book not worth wasting your time on. Joe McCarthy was good, liberals are evil, the Clintons are eviler. Factual "inconsistences" (read: lies) abound, and everything must be sacrificed to the greater goal of blaming liberals for everything from her hangnails to the Iran-Contra scandal.
Rating: Summary: Disappointment Review: As a conservative, I find this book deeply disappointing. Coulter does the cause harm when she resorts to specious arguments and baseless accusations. She's also not much of a writer. Further disconcerting were her comments on a recent Hannity show, where she called the patriotic men and women who are trying to protect our lives at our nation's airports "retards". All in all, this book is a real let down.
Rating: Summary: THIS IS A GREAT TRUTHFULL READ!!!! Review: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT ALL OF THE NEGATIVE RATINGS GIVEN HERE ON THIS BOOK SAY NOTHING ON THE CONTENT!!!! THEY, IN MY OPINION HAVE NOT READ THIS BOOK! AND THERE "REVIEWS" ARE JUST ONE MORE ATTEMPT AT REVISIONIST HISTORY. THIS IS A FACTUAL HISTORY OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTIES VERY REAL AFFECTION WITH COMMUNISM AND COMMUNISTS. THE PROBLEM THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS GOING TO HAVE IN TRYING TO DISPROVE-"SPIN" MS COULTER IS THAT THE BOOK IS VERY WELL RESEARCHED AND REFERENCED! WITH RECENTLY RELEASED COLD WAR DOCUMENTS!!! TO BOOT! THIS IS BIG TROUBLE FOR THE DEMOCRATS!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Good message, reckless messenger Review: Ann Coulter wins my sympathy when she goes after the absurdities of liberal politics ( I am politically and financially conservative but morally liberal ) but I wince at her rudeness, outrageously tasteless comments in the media (her take on the Katie Couric/ Hillary Clinton interview: "It's the last time I've seen two women going at it with each other"), hyperbole, lack of fact checking, and general combativeness. This is a young woman who needs to learn the most basic rules of civilized public discourse if she does not want to end up being dismissed as a vulgarian and loose cannon who is more interested in drawing attention to herself by being provocative than in being taken seriously. That being said, her thesis in this book, that liberals have always been on the wrong side of the debate when it comes to America's foreign policy is striking for its accuracy. I wish she would just learn to lighten up.
Rating: Summary: More important than Slander Review: Slander was a fun read because Ann's humour is biting and sardonic. This book is much more. Having been raised as a pink diaper baby (Mom a devotee of Franklin Roosevelt and thinks Alger Hiss innocent to this day) I know exactly why Ann has written this book and commend it to anyone who has any belief that there was never any communist threat. I recommend it because of the wealth of detail and information that she provides. The issue is of importance because it is crucial to the issue of which party should be trusted with out national defense.
Rating: Summary: Even Better Than "Slander" Review: What little restraint Ann Coulter demonstrated in her previous book (and it was damn little!) evaporates in "Treason". And that's how it should be -- the bare-knuckle approach to the evils perpetrated by the Left is the only one worth employing. Indeed, I think what I enjoyed most about this excellent book is that Miss Coulter not only names names, but also calls names. The Left is populated by a bunch of gasbags and sissies, and Miss Coulter says so in unquestionably unambiguous terms. Brava!
Rating: Summary: Coulter strikes again Review: Ann Coulter does it again. With both brilliance and wit she exposes the left and all it's duplicity.Having lived through the periods in question I can say unequivocally that Ms Coulter has both the facts and the truth on her side. This book is a must read for anyone who wishes to know what happened during the Cold war and why. Also for younger readers I would recommend the Black Book of Communism , and The Long March (by Roger Kimball).
