Summary: Shocked at my own ignorance
Review: Before reading this book I knew very little about Joseph McCarthy. My impressions of him were of a blustering anti-Hollywood blowhard ruining innocent peoples lives. Alas, as it turns out that is exactly what the liberals (and the media, and my high school and college history teachers) wanted me to believe. This book blows apart everything I thought I knew about Presidents Truman through Bush, McCarthy, the Cold War, and even the War on Terrorism, which I thought I knew quite a lot about! Ms. Coulter presents a meticulous and articulate case that is both shocking and at times laugh-out-loud funny. Forget everything you think you know and buy this book! It will open your mind to a history long forgotten after a generation of lies.

Summary: Fair and Balanced like Fox News
Review: Half her information is not even based on facts and a lot of it is just exaggeration to promote herself, if you want a real fair and balanced book about American politics get Bill Maher's book. Yes he is a liberal, but he is one that can even piss me off with some of his views, and also have my full support.

Summary: Finally Some Truth
Review: As with all of Ann's books, she has the most excellent research. She never gives any detail without evidence to back it up. I have also read Ann's book "Slander" which was such an eye opener about the untruthful repetitive things the democrats always say. I have also read and recommend: "Dereliction of Duty", the eyewitness account of how Bill Clinton compromised America's National Security; Unlimited Access and Thunder on the Left - An insider's report on the hijacking of the democrat party; and Dick Morris' book "Off With Their Heads", is also very good. If people arm themselves with this truth - they will make the correct decisions in November 2004.

Summary: Excellent book for those with an open mind
Review: I don't usually write reviews, but I just had to after seeing all these 1-star reviews by ediots who havn't even read the book or are still learning how to read!! They only know how to cricize Ann's character. Well, I've read the book and I found it to be funny yet very truthful. When I say funny, I mean in the way where you hear a fact, but you kinda laugh because the thought never occured to you and/or you were duped into believing otherwise. It's very refreshing and explains so many things that was left out by the traditional liberal media. I can see why the liberal media hates Coulter. She really exposes their bias and twist they put on stories. It's funny how she gets attacked by so many as untruthful and "makes up stuff", but she references every claim she makes--over 40 pages in references!!! This is a must read if you wanted to see a fact-based History of US involvement in wars since the Cold War.

Summary: Message to Liberals...
Review: this book was wonderfully written with the biting wit and sarcasm that is so characteristic of Ann's delightful writing style. But, there is so much more...well researched facts and a logical presentation make this book presentable and accomodating to the most un-political minds who wish to know just how treasonous the liberals of America are. They hate it; and I'm lovin' it! To all the liberals writing reviews (and pretending to have read her book) why don't you waste your time elsewhere - like reviewing Michael Moore's garbage.
